What do you think of Rooney in this system...He's been absolutely crap recently and even Hernandez can do a better job in this system where Striker's job is to play like the guy who's never played the game and is there just to make up the numbers...

Yeah Rooney has been poor imo, Van Gaal made him essentially undroppable though.

Based on Rooney's current form even Fellaini at number 9 would be an improvement. Rooney's performance yesterday was the worst performance I've ever seen from a United player..
Still waiting for Muller, Bale etc? You should have paid up for Pedro, instead of chasing unrealistic targets. It seems United board is under the impression that every player would leap of joy to play for United, but the reality is different. Starters at Real/bayern/barca etc typically dont join PL-clubs if they are not kicked out/told to leave.

We're okay at Centre back but Striker is a huge concern..I don't think we passed up on pedro without getting any encouragement in our pursuit of other players..I think we dodged a bullet with Ramos because the fee and Salary was too high for someone his age and passing up on pedro may have something to do with our urgency to get a proper no 9..

Forget Ramos..that's the club captain .. it was hard one but why you missed on Otamendi ?
The only good no 9 for you and kinda of available for good money would probably be Lacazete.. and i'm a big fan of his ..unless LVG go all Dutch like the old days and look for Das Bost or even Huntelaar

Maybe it has something to do with LVG prefering his left centre back to be left footed..How good is Otamendi on the ball? Smalling is not that great on the ball so we need a centre back who is excellent technically to implement LVG's system and that's why we were so keen on Ramos..
