Another good thing with United failing in the cl, is that they may got desperate for big transfers again. They might offer ridiculous amounts of money for Bale, we can then get rid of him.

Who we replace him with isnt as important as it is to get rid of him, imo. Besides, James is a better player in all positions that Bale plays for us. Moving James from cm to amc/lw/rw would also lead to a better balanced team, bbc + james is way to inbalanced. But James also struggles with injuries, so we might need to buy someone new as well.

Bale is British and a proven star in the PL. This is one big transfer I would approve of and we can sure afford it. He is wasting away his best years playing second fiddle to Ronaldo and would get the love and platform he needs at Old Trafford.

Bale is overrated in England imo, teams would never give us the amount of space he was given at Spurs, I would like him for 60m or under but wouldn't spend anything over that for him, he is just not technical enough.

Just read what Ancelotti said, he definitely seems interested and with Chelsea and Real maybe firing their managers maybe we should pounce on him considering he is only 56 a little harsh on LVG but considering LVG will retire next year we cannot afford to lose out on someone who can manage us for longer. Really do not want Giggs taking over next year as he has no credentials to be united manager imo, hopefully Neville does well at Valencia.

I really wonder what fantasy-world united-board etc are living in, they keep trying to lure key-players from barca/bayern/real to their club. They need to wake up to reality, they arent top dog anymore, not even in their own league. Its a waste of time, and the world is laughing at their dellusions.

Should have kept Di Maria, as if the player with most assists in Europe and Champions league win the season before couldn't be given time to adapt is ridiculous and to think Man U fans actually said after they sold him "he's shit" "he can't handle the premier league"

So you think Man Utd would have had an easier time topping PSG or real over wolfsburg or psv ?

No, but then again Man Utd couldn't have been in a group with those two teams, with the current system of pots or whatever they're called. So, only the teams out of pot 3, 4 and 1 count. If you look at it that way, had they been swapped with PSG (the pot 2 team in that group), they would have been in a much easier group, wouldn't you agree? Malmö or Wolfsburg out of pot 4 makes a huge difference, CSKA should be better than Shakhtar too this year. Only Real is significantly stronger than PSV, but all together a group like that would've been much, much easier.

Edit: I see PSG is the pot 1 team in that group and Real the pot 2 team....my point is still the same though; the average quality of the group would've been lower in PSG's group.

Doesnt matter what group we were in, its over clearly not ready as a team. Least it was an entertaining game and they tried there absolute best just had no luck, probably fucked our top 4 chances with Smalling playing on injured too. If LVG fails to get top 4 then i could understand any notion of sacking him, but even if he does and Guardiola goes to City we just couldn't compete further down the line. Ideally Klopp was the man to get, Guardiola plays the same type of football as LVG, just does not suit us at all.

I don't know about much, much easier but yes taking pots into consideration ManUtd were seeded with strong 3rd and 4th.
