yup, hes having hip surgery in the summer.

United took the unusual step of confirming reports last week that Ferguson was due to undergo surgery to replace his right hip this summer, although it was unclear last night if there might be another development with regard to the 71-year-old’s health. Ferguson had a pacemaker fitted in 2004 because of a heart irregularity and has always maintained that his health will determine how long he stays in charge at Old Trafford, where he has won 13 Premier League titles during 26½ years at the helm.
