Sandro should be sold and Munir should be loaned to some team in La Liga. I'm sure about that now. Nolito is a good signing. Mature player, experience in La Liga, willing to stay on the bench more often than not, skilfull guy, not very high wages and decent transfer sum as well. He's the offensive signing we need imho. Since Suarez seems to never get injured (or very rarely anyway), I think we can do without a clasic no9 sub.

With Nolito, we have MSN and Nolito/Arda/Rafinha to play back-up wingers. Those are solid options to have. Nolito and defensive signings (LB + CB, on the younger side all of them) sounds great to me for a summer transfer plan.

True on goalscorer remark.
I don't think there's room for another midfielder though.

I'd personally sign a central forward, not LF. In which scenario, Denis could find room for minutes.

Yeah, a cf would be ideal... But who?

Contract ends after the season too. Perfect Larsson replacement :coffee:

Foolproof, man, foolPROOF!

In all seriousness, I bet he'd love to come back and prove Pep wrong. Shame he'd never agree to play second fiddle or accept reduced wages.

Good. Would rather have halilovic

One doesn't exclude the other, you know. If anything, Denis Suarez could be the victim of a potential Nolito transfer.

That said, I don't mind us looking for a younger forward, but I can't see us being able to afford anyone young and good enough, if we're going to blow our transfer kitty on a CB.

And where have Munir and Sandro proven themselves? ;)

Soriano has experience, knows Lucho's system and would adapt quickly. If he comes here he'd be also willing to accept his role as a backup to Suarez. I think we could get him for around half of Nolito's price and I also think we'd be better with him and Denis (he can play LW when Neymar is not available) than Nolito and Denis. When Denis come back we'll have enough players to cover for both Neymar and Messi but we don't have a good backup for Suarez. Of course we could change the system and play Messi or Neymar as a CF if Luis is unavailable for longer period but this could change the whole dynamic of the team.

But it's clear Lucho prefers Nolito so we'll probably get him. Don't get me wrong, I like Nolito and am not against buying him, I just don't think it's worth paying 18M for a 30yo bench player.

I fail to see how that's relevant, as I doubt there's anyone in here who wants to count on them for the next season.

Anyhow, as I've already said, I wouldn't mind Soriano if he would come on the cheap, but I'd prefer someone already proven in a top league. If it means paying 10M or so more for Nolito than Soriano, then it's a nobrainer for me.
