Marc Bartra

For his own sake the kid should go on loan ,he needs experience and playing time that we can't afford ,at his age he can't afford another bench warming season and on the other hand while he hasn't showed any negative signs he still didn't show flashes of brilliance either ,we won't be able to give him quality minutes while competing for every competition and probably signing at least 1 more quality CB

PS:I know we have bad history with loaning players ,but that needs to change too

For his development, yes, going on loan would be the better option. However Barca is beginning to rely on him more and more. With Puyol being injured so much, I don't even consider him a reliable option to depend on due to the fact that his fitness is so sporadic. Masch is not a true CB and I'd say less stable than Bartra overall. And with Pique becoming more and more of a stupid shit every day, we will have no dependable CB's aside from the one we sign (and that is assuming that he IS quality). Bartra is young, fit, has pretty good ability, and a necessary player to have true depth.

I don't see a reason why he couldn't play regularly. We've been using him lately in CL knock-out stages and he was decent enough. Partnered with a completely off-form Pique. That surely means something. At least that he could play in La Liga somewhat regularly next season. His recent performances ought to be a wakeup call to the management.

Was definitely nervous this match. Understandable to an extent since he hasn't been given much playing time in the league let alone against a top team in the CL. He wasn't really bad at all, can't expect him to have a world class game at this point.

Is that why Bartra hasn't featured much even at times when the decision to not play him is baffling? He's nervous? It was apparent in the game vs Celta Vigo but it's a surprise to me now considering he's a professional and he's already played vs PSG.

I would be nervous as well, playing CB is such a nerve-wracking position, even worse than striker or goalkeeper in my opinion.

Well, don't know if he's always nervous or just confined to today, playing against Bayern. It's clear he has talent but if it's a confidence issue he needs to work on that. Reminds me of Bojan & his problems with confidence.

Yeah, I hate playing CB. Even playing rec. games where it doesn't matter at the end of the day I'm still pretty nervous, even though I'm fine at RB. I feel you, Bartra, I feel you.

Poor kid. That is all I could think of when I saw the steamroll coming at Bartra. He didn't deserve that kind of carnage. Pique was such a wimp in not showing him the same leadership that Puyol showed(shows) him. It was sad to see that he couldn't return the favor to our La Masia prospect.

Well,he isn't you ,he is a professional and that is his job where he gets paid for , to play in CB you need to be really confident personality
if he isn't then I can see why Tito didn't use him a lot as DonAndres suggested ,lack of confidence is one of the worst character issue to have for a CB
