i fear by boy will not get the chance to live up to his potential, with all these constant injuries. another vasquez situation is looking ever more likely.

Same hamstring injured, again...In all likelihood, heat/humidity didn't help but the kid was already coming back from a previous injury to the hamstring - looking like he may have been activated a bit too soon perhaps

Maybe a little bit forgotten due to injuries problems but awesome this year. Controls the defense and I hope he will receive another call from Pep for first squad :D

Montoya, Muniesa, Dos Santos and Bartra will be promoted in the summer according to Zubi. Oier and Sergi Roberto will stay at the B team.

Read this and it's hard to understand unless Muniesa and/or Dos Santos intend to be moved...Unless someone knows something many of us don't, Muniesa isn't ready for first team footy - not in my opinion...He's one of the protected kids in the cantera from the look of it, he has the right mentality and is clearly a respected figure for a youth player...but he's not only had chronic injury issues but has not been good enough

Roberto though, I can't understand how he hasn't earned a promotion ahead of both Dos Santos & Muniesa...Strange

Start watching some of B team games and then comment. If you look this years performances Muniesa is much better and his big advantage is that he is an all-rounder. He can play left, right or in the centre. On the other hand Bartra is not so "rock solid" as he was last year. He is prone to making mistakes and his concentration is very close to the one of David Luiz.

But yes, looking at past two years they both deserved promotion. JDS is here for the past two years on the verge of promotion so this isn't really a surprise.
I am only feeling bad for Montoya. Guy is super talented and is already a class right back but he will hardly get any chance.

Also, dunno what will happen with Cuenca and Tello. Cuenca could go for free, and Tello will stay probably with B team because there will be less opportunities forplaying time when Affelay and Villa come back.

Turns out that the automatic renewal kicked in for Muniesa's contract through 2013 upon promotion...So that tends to make more sense on why he was promoted so soon...Gotta think he'll be loaned out as a result...He's not ready for the first team and I've been watching for a few seasons now - his progress has stalled

We need to loan him out, he's not first team quality yet. If he does well enough he might become a long term replacement for Abidal
