looked very composed when he came on at LB. really pleased for him after his last first-team appearance ended in tears, literally.

everyone screaming for defensive backup is gonna get it next season. a second choice Back 4 next season could be Montoya-Bartra-Mascherano-Muniesa. and there's still Adriano floating around too!

anybody that still puts Pique ahead of Mascherano isn't going off current form.
Mascherano hasn't had a bad game since he joined Barcelona.

hey I'm with you but Puyol is gonna start games, rightly or wrongly.

our best CB partnership is Piqué/Mascherano, as Badger is a younger version of Puyol in terms of his style. but Puyol will always be 1st choice when he's fit and Piqué is a must because when he's not around we struggle with set-pieces and crosses in general. plus we can be a bit erratic at the back.

his composure was what impressed me most... although it was in a pretty much dead game, you could still tell

He had a good game and has promising talent to be add in this squad next year. Glad to see he had a run and played quite well

Looked excellent, composed both on and off the ball. Good decision-making and nicely weighted through-ball to Tello. Will be interested to see how he performs against more difficult opposition.
