Official: Marc Muniesa has torn a right knee ligament. He will have surgery and will be out for around 6 months.

Muniesa wasn't truly going to provide CB cover this season for the first team so it changes nothing in terms of the club's need for a CB...The Ajax move is out which is the real disappointment, I believe...Kid can't catch a break but I do like the way the club continues to rally around the player, injury after injury...They must see something I haven't....I like Marc and recognize he's a popular teammate & leader but I don't believe his skills are suited for first team football

Hopefully a quick and speedy recovery for him, would like to see him get a good full season of football under his belt and develop. From watching him for Barcelona B and what i have read he has got good potential.

In addition to the anterior cruciate ligament injury, @muniesa24 also had an internal meniscus injury. #FCBLive

Muni :( At least his surgery was a success, hope he recovers well.
