Would be a dream signing for sure. Up to 120m. he is worth it. You have a CM position locked in for 7-8 years. But I really really doubt he will be signed.

Real really doesn't need him. Besides they'll go after Mbappe.

I think we have better chances to sign him than Madrid does. Madrid has a great midfield atm. For us, he would start the next day after he is presented. And we really have shown our interest in him for a lot of time.

But I can't see PSG letting him go, and I don't see Verratti forcing them to sell. They have money, lots of money. They can just give him 14m. a year net if they feel they might lose him. In this case Verratti will probably stay.

Let me explain better. It wouldn't be fun to see Verratti flop but if that would happen it would certainly be fun to read reactions of people that consider him as a saviour to our problems. Don't forget he's Italian and they historically didn't do well at Barça or La Liga in general (Villarreal seems to be the only La Liga club where Italians are comfortable for some reason). I wouldn't expect Verratti to fail like Song for example but expectations for him would be much higher than just to improve what we have now in midfield (which shouldn't be too hard to do) and it's very possible he would never really totally met those high expectations. Madrid could still stay a better team and win more than us even if we sign Verratti. Would people then blame our stupid board to pay 100M or whatever for him except of buying players X and Y that would help us more? Would it be Valverde's or whoever next coach will be fault? Or would we just accept that Verratti might not be the player that we all hoped will help us to get to the next level? Don't get me wrong, if there are any chances he leave PSG this summer or in the near future, I would do anything possible to buy him. But at the same time we should also know there is no guarantee he'd really succeed here.

argument 1: He's italian, they are cursed in spain. Except uh Messi. But he's not officially italian so I guess it's ok.

Lol. Sure, Verratti might gain 20 kgs, lose his insane dribbling skills, lose his vision, so yea he might not succeed.

well it's real afterall,veratti is one of the top midfielders currently and if he's available and if it's known that barca want him ofcourse they'll pursue him too
