Bayern's offer  Germans are so stingy. l read somewhere they were ready to offer up to 80 m euros. Then, they signed Tolisso from nowhere. almost signed, l mean.

His agent playing for a pay rise once again. that's why he will stay at PSG. after Aubameyang's transfer, l'm pretty sure he stayed at PSG.

He knows he is rotting away at PSG. If he moves here he will earn a comparable wage and will have a chance to cement himself as one of the best midfielders of this generation. I don't think he is dumb enough to spend his prime in a mickey mouse league and with a club that has zero chance of winning a CL in the next 10 years barring extreme fortune.

The choice is simple here, stay at PSG and be forgotten, or move to Barcelona and etch your name into the history books.

He still gets champions league football every year, he gets knockout round CL every year. Maybe he doesn't have these grand legacy goals, is it that dumb from his end to keep on taking a high wage and getting guaranteed playing time at a place that he is very comfortable at.

League strength changes, the italian used to be the best in the world and now some people would call it Mickey Mouse. If its for historical legacy I'd go to the EPL(revenue growth) to be safe.

Thats true but what if he doesn't care. Players are have done worse to their careers for money.

I didn't know Aytekin at this time...

By the way, he didn't referee any european match after this shame . Punishment, confirmed...

Stop scoring own goals like Kurzawa dude lol....

Look at his history and you'll see he on average officiated European games every 3rd or 4th month due to UEFA's rotation policy. Are you guys still bitching about that game? You guys collapsed mentally like the losers you are, man up and grow a pair instead of having money stuck up your asses and you might compete better and have a chance at winning the Champions League.

Btw, he officiated the DFB Pokal Final. Looks like the DFB think he's good enough to officiate a final, but here we have a guy sitting in Paris believing MARCA of all papers that UEFA sidelined him

So true. Much more than the ref or barca being great, sheer dumb luck (first goals) and PSG absolutely folding were the reasons for the result.

It's not happening guys. I've wanted him on the team the second I saw him play for PSG his first season, I'll be honest and admit I'd never heard of him before that. He was a good spot by Leonardo.

PSG will not sell him. Not a single player that wanted to leave was allowed to leave. Even if he wanted to leave, PSG HATES Barcelona. That much is clear. No way in hell they are going to sell to us. Might as well just kill this thread; I hate seeing so many people that will eventually be disappointed.

The worst part is I shutter thinking of whom our board might buy this time. There are so many good players out there and they have wasted 200mil already on average to below average signings. Good players have been up for the taking too, and our negligent board just passes on them over and over.

He doesn't want to leave. He wants a raise, which he will get.. There ia no points in getting our hopes up. We should look for realistic targets before they run out instead of chasing for targets who are impossible to get..

argument 2: RM could still win more than barca. Verratti automatically to blame ?

Question: will we accept the reality that Verratti might no be good enough to succeed here ?

Lol. Sure, Verratti might gain 20 kgs, lose his insane dribbling skills, lose his vision, so yea he might not succeed.

Otherwise it's guaranteed.

You know how people are, they always need to have someone to blame when things are not going according to their expectations. But we've already found out that it will always be Lucho's fault. :)

With Verratti not succeed here I thought more about him having problems to adapt than not having talent. He already proved his quality but he wouldn't be the first nor the last great player that would fail to deliver at Barça. Sometimes people have too high expectations and even more so with very likely club record (and maybe even world record) transfer fee we'd have to pay to get him. Just look at Neymar. People would still find something to complain about him even if he'd score a hattrick in every game just because he's not Messi. So it's also possible people would complain about Verratti if/when they'd find out he's not the next Xavi that many would expect him to become if we sign him. And all this added pressure could also make him fail here. So no, his success with us is not guaranteed.

Just my opinion though, you can agree to disagree. ;)

Let me explain better. It wouldn't be fun to see Verratti flop but if that would happen it would certainly be fun to read reactions of people that consider him as a saviour to our problems. Don't forget he's Italian and they historically didn't do well at Barça or La Liga in general (Villarreal seems to be the only La Liga club where Italians are comfortable for some reason). I wouldn't expect Verratti to fail like Song for example but expectations for him would be much higher than just to improve what we have now in midfield (which shouldn't be too hard to do) and it's very possible he would never really totally met those high expectations. Madrid could still stay a better team and win more than us even if we sign Verratti. Would people then blame our stupid board to pay 100M or whatever for him except of buying players X and Y that would help us more? Would it be Valverde's or whoever next coach will be fault? Or would we just accept that Verratti might not be the player that we all hoped will help us to get to the next level? Don't get me wrong, if there are any chances he leave PSG this summer or in the near future, I would do anything possible to buy him. But at the same time we should also know there is no guarantee he'd really succeed here.

Yeah, I know man. I was mostly pulling your chain...
People do seem to have some rather unrealistic views on what a single player can accomplish.
