Marco Verratti

Have you read that?

That's not even an informative article, it's an opinion piece, and I don't see anything about Aytekin being suspended there.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/mar/09/luis-suarez-dive-barcelona-cheating-psg

Will ask you for the last time to present your facts.

Even if PSG keep Verratti, you guys are going to get bounced out in the R16 or QFs again, so much for the grand project

funny how this dude suggests british players need to start diving to even the scales. Typically delusional british arrogance.

Well, you better hope that Qatar blockade doesn't last very long then. Could have the Emir and his family ousted.

Don't worry for us, if it's not Qatar, it will be another investor. The most beautiful city of the world + only top club for 12 millions inhabitants, best young players, beautiful stadium + the best training center coming.

Our only and big limit is the Ligue 1. But with the news investors in Lyon and Marseille and after the Russian in Monaco, i think it will be OK.

If there is even a tiny window to get Veratti, we have to take it. There is just no way in hell you can let that go, even if it means cutting the Dembele and Seri transfers off.

I'm sure if Verratti actual made some noise about his situation and proposed something radical like refusing to play then PSG would sell him in a heartbeat. But no, he is a loser content with staying in Paris and wasting his career waway.

He hasn't given any indication that he feels that way, he has done the opposite and signed contract extensions.

One day he'll be 35 and look back on his career as what could've been. The money and glamour of Paris may be enough for him now, but he'll eventually get tired of the losing mercenary culture at the club, I just fear that day will come too late for him and us.

Not gonna happen imo.

But, if by some miracle it does.

Imagine this in 2018. Bye bye Madrid.

Lets hope we don't spend entire summer chasing Veratti and end up with nothing in the end.

Even people who love money don't like losing.

Everyone grows tired of losing and there's no indication of PSG winning the CL in the foreseeable future. Even the PL teams are getting better now with proper managers.

Don't worry for us, if it's not Qatar, it will be another investor. The most beautiful city of the world + only top club for 12 millions inhabitants, best young players, beautiful stadium + the best training center coming.

Not sure what bubble you're living in, but it's not as easy as that.

If Qatar pull out or have their cash flow cut off, it'll take time for any other investors to buy in, and meanwhile there's only one way your club will go and that's down.

Are we going to sign Verratti this window? Probably not.

But it's going to get to a point where even Verratti will get fed up with PSG's evident failings in Europe, while every other big team is producing the goods. you hear all the time about PSG's project and the amount of money they have spent but time and time again they struggle to even make the Quarter-Finals in the CL.

That stuff starts to pile up, and it's to a point where like DonAK said Everyone grows tired of losing.

"we're not a selling club"
Is just hollow statement, That doesn't stack up in the real world, If a player wants to go, And their is a reasonable offer for him, They'll let him go, Only a lunatic and frankly a stupid person will try to stop it.
Contracts while they 'legally' bind you to a club, It has no authority to force a 'mental commitment' to the club, And even if there was such a thing, There is no tool that can measure it.

If verratti said he wants to leave to juventus, And they're willing to pay 20M for him, We'll expect PSG to say, "No, We'd rather having a complacent player than giving you up for that amount".
But if verratti said he wants to leave to FCB and they're willing to pay 100M for him, Then they'll say yes, And that's reality, No club will rather keep a player not willing to commit and waste earning 100m, Not to mention having a complacent player in the squad is infectious and it'll risk the commitment of others also.

Will verratti have to pull some shenanigans, Like refuse to start pre-season to bend PSG hand, Probably so.
As long as his intent to move is very strong and there is that 100m offer from us, This transfer is happening.

Won't be so sure about that, but if Verratti want to move he has to do his best to force a way out, burn all bridges. Make it a media battle.

Not sure QSI and PSG want more bad publicity these days, but those guys are also stubborn as hell.
