Marco Verratti’s agent believes the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is “out of the scope of Italian clubs”.

The Italian international is believed to be tempted by a move away from the Ligue 1 club, with Juventus, Milan and Inter all said to be interested in his services.

However, Verratti’s agent has spoken to Sky Italia this evening and he appeared to pour cold water on those rumours.

“It’s difficult,”
said Donato Di Campli.

“I think it’s a deal which is still out of the scope of Italian clubs.”

Barcelona are thought to be in pole position for Verratti, as they could offer around €100m for the former Pescara midfielder.

"It's very complicated, but we have expressed our ideas to PSG. We're not talking about Barcelona or other clubs, it's about projects.

"I think I represent a champion and clearly I have questions. To be a champion you have to win."

PSG can't hold an unhappy player hostage, if they get a reasonable bid they will have to accept. Just have to make sure that Verratti lets them know unequivocally that he wants out and will force their hand if need be.

People are missing the big picture here. Qatar is in a state of siege and Nasser will surely have a backs to the wall attitude. He will probably let VERRATTI rot on the bench then sell him. PSG have NEVER sold despite some pretty intense pressure and I doubt they will sell now.

This saga will last the entire summer and we'll probably end up buying some chump at the last minute or not buying at all. I hope were keeping our options open because PSG will fight tooth and nail to keep VERRATTI.

You might be on to something.

Says Verratti wants an extension with a raise. With the crisis, it's a diplomatic issue, Qatar(PSG) won't sell.

I've a feeling this transfer window is gonna be a trainwreck when it comes to midfield signings, or signings in general.

Like having a case of tunnel vision and stubbornness for certain targets while letting the alternatives get away and ending up with guys like Parejo and Cancelo?

Yes.

Imagine chasing Verratti and Bellerin all summer to panic into signing those two in August lol

Bernardo Silva was there for the taking. Could have signed him and Naby Keita or Seri for this total price of 100m, or a bit more than that.

Now we'll probably end up signing some bum.

so will he request to leave PSG? its clear this time he dont want to stay but PSG doesnt want to sell imo.

That's probably what they are probing right now if they are serious about it.

At the same time I think Verratti will stay put, I don't think he's after money this time.

Tbh, not only is it hard for him to move, but he would be vilified to no end, forcing a move one year after an extension, and to the club that dealt PSG it's most humiliating defeat ever (and most humiliating cl game evr)
