Marco Verratti

Paris Saint-Germain is born in 1970 ... Stop your bullshit. We have 11 national cups, more than any other club in France ... in 46 years... O.M. has only 10 national cups in more than one century. 6 Championship, 1 European Cup. I'm proud of it.

Who cares when they were born? They're the 7h team in terms of Ligue 1 wins in France as it stands right now. Money alone won't make you an elite club. Maybe in 2025 wel'll talk about PSG as a force in Europe, until then, it's not the case.

Good luck with keeping Verratti as hostage in Paris until 2021. His price under these conditions would drop to 30m by the next winter transfer window.

I can't imagine our next middlefield : Verratti / Fabinho / Rabiot or Thiago Motta. Top 3 in the world.

I anticipate the next messages, "top 3 to still get out in quarter bla bla bla" ...

All big clubs have to keep at least two or three top players. If Paris sell Verratti, the project restart from 0. He is a symbol of the qatarian ambition in Paris. Those guys are very proud. Don't try to compare with other clubs. They can loose 100 or 200 millions, if they keep their head high, it's not a problem. I'm confident. Verratti's agent can open his mouth, Verratti is parisian until june 2021. After, he can do what he wants.

I agree to the proudness of Qataris and that big clubs need big players. Thing is that an unhappy player rarely is a top player. You can keep him by contract, but the situation doesn't seem that it will end in your favor this time. This summer is different. Barça always was interested in Verratti, but now it is the first time that he really wants to join Barça without making it a secret. You can keep a player that has contract. Payet is an example. He wanted to leave but West Ham didn't want to let him go. He had contract so he had to stay. What happened next? Payet didn't reach anything the levels he reached the season before. His head wasn't there anymore because he wanted to leave.

Now you can say the situation is different because PSGs team is alot better. This is true, but Payet was WHs star player the same way as Verratti is yours. Ask West Ham fans. Not only Payet's performances were worse than the year before, but the whole team's was. The coach has to deal with the team first, not the player. If there is a player who doesn't want to be there anymore but gets forced to stay he will make problems for sure. This will affect the whole team in either way.

Nasser is just an employee who got free money from the Emir who is the actual owner of PSG. I don't think the Emir is in a position now to start a media circus and bullying that involves a star player. The Qataris finally got humbled by their big neighbors.

They lose Verratti, they will go after Mbappe.

We are witnessing the beginning of the end of PSG's failed project. They just lost the league for the first time in 4 years, Silva is 32, Cavani is 30, Di Maria is 29 and Verratti, their best player wants out. They will not be able to compete with Barca/Real and the PL in terms of signing players anymore regardless of how rich they are because it is becoming abundantly transparent that they have a loser's mentality. Of course the will continue to attract the mercenary second rate players but the whole thing is falling apart and quickly.

Man City at least has Pep which gives them more credibility and makes them more attractive of a destination. If PSG want to win the CL in the near future they will first have rid the habit of signing on 2nd rate managers and convince a top coach to join their club. Also doesn't help that Ligue 1 is a one horse race for the most part and quality of competition is weaker than other top European leagues.

So it's ok. We have time. Chelsea needed more than 10 years to win the Champions League, we can wait.

Chelsea got to semi finals and finals before they won it as well. PSG cant get past the quarter finals.

Added to that the Chelsea team that did win it were probably the worst winners in recent years and teams missed so many chances against them it was untrue.

What exactly is so special that Qataris have to be so proud of themselves? I'm all ears. Maybe that guy in charge of PSG is vain or something, pride is the wrong word.

Would be very funny if on top of 6-1 we managed to take their best player from them in space of few months.

Not suggesting it at all. Just because Roberto and Iniesta aren't world class doesn't mean Rakitic is.

Rakitic is average. He's been average at best since the treble season ended and has only gotten worse now that his main role (Covering for Alves) is no longer needed. He's not a great dribbler, he's not anything special in the passing department, his defensive contribution is negligible at this point, and he can't run for the entire game. There may not be anything wrong with having him in our midfield but to suggest that any midfield partnership at all that includes him could possibly be world class must be some sort of joke, because it's hilarious.

What's your best formation with Verratti in it?

(Keeping in mind that Valverde may make a turn around and have Gomes as a starter

Heard he said he won't be returning in Paris and wants to sign for Barca. Lets just hope this happens. The new number 6, to carry on Xavi's legacy.

they will probably bring in a replacement first to save face, the rumours of Fabinho to City/United seem to have gone quiet; Fabinho to PSG?

Look at all of the PSG trolls coming out of the woodwork! What a joke! If you really don't think PSG are going to sell Verratti, why do you keep coming here and posting in this thread? You're scared. You know Verratti is gone. This isn't some ploy to get more money. Not now; not with Verratti coming out publicly and saying he isn't going back to Paris. He wants to be here. He's through with your second rate club. Sorry
