Marco Verratti

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
Hermel doesn't know his ass from his elbow and is a known disgusting Real Madrid lackey. I'd rest easy and worry free about these reports if I were a PSG fan.

Just last Saturday Hermel said in that esteemed and bias-free show El Chiringuito that "whistling the Spanish anthem was anti-Spanish xenophobia"

Hermel should sit down. In the friendly last year between Spain and France IN France, the Spanish crowd booed THEIR National Anthem. I wonder what he felt then.

Yup, but we're going to forget about that right now DonAK, please don't bring up past actions that destroy the point, I beg you. We all know it's only cultural xenophobia if Catalan and Basque fans boo the Spanish anthem.

L'Equipe is not on daily fail level. There isn't a 100% source, but there are still reliable papers, that will get it wrong sometimes.

I highly doubt Nasser would want to let go of Verratti unless he can get a really "big fish" in return. Ronaldo? Benzema?

And yeah, I'd also be really bummed and disappointed if he picked RM over Barca.

Maybe Benzema, or maybe they have their sight on Pogba? I know to little to speculate, but this just seems very fishy that PSG would sell their best young player if they want to become a powerhouse in European football - or Veratti wants out, but it didn't strike me he wanted to.

He will be a replacement for modric. I could see him moving to real actually in the near future.while we have our eyes on pogba real won't sit idle. They will try to get verratti at all costs. Real and psg have a nice relationship. The deal could actually go through. Just give psg Ronaldo they will be tempted to accept the deal.

What exactly is about a good relationship that explains why PSG would sale their future to Real without cause, need, or reason?

Imo, it is something like this:
1. no matter how good Verratti is, with him in the team and with current players=Psg will never get nowhere near the CL title
2. selling Verratti, getting weaker, but still very good midfielder and getting any players from Pogba, Cr7, Bale, Benzema=would raise your chances to win a CL, especially if you buy a Cr7, Bale or Benzema

While Verratti is awesome, he alone can't do too much.
On the other hand, Cr7 or Bale alone could do much more.

Something like:
-- imagine Barca selling Iniesta or Xavi, get weaker, but still good player like Rakitic
-- and for money earned from Xavi/Iniesta plus some cash, you get Neymar

So, instead of having Xavi+Alexis, you can sell both, add some cash and have a weaker midfielder (Rakitic) and much better decisive player, like Neymar.

So, if Psg is considering selling Verratti, they are preparing some "big fish" transfer 100%.

Exactly :sherlock:

Eh... PSG has no chance to reach a UCL final with Verratti, a feat that Dortmund, Atletico, and Juventus have all accomplished in as many seasons, so sell him for Benzema because the latter gives PSG a better chance to reach said final? Never mind the fact that Verratti projects to be a better player than Benzema going forward, that PSG has the resources to afford world class payers without becoming a feeder club, and that they already have two world class strikers they currently have on their roster.

Needless to say I wasn't able to find much sense from your rambling.

I think what he was saying is that Verratti isn't game changer enough for PSG to win a CL without good strikers, while they could compensate his absence by getting a world class striker and have more chances at CL.

I agree though that Benzema wasn't the best example of a world class striker ^^

Isn't Benzema easily in top 5 strikers in the world?(Ronaldo & Neymar are LW's , Messi is a RW atm)

Verratti is the best deep lying mid in the world. PSG could only get weaker replacing him. It's not like there are many strikers more potent than Ibra or Cavani that PSG can cherry pick

That is just an example. Remove verratti and add pogba and Ronaldo. They have much better chances at CL. Even bale and pogba also. Pogba and benzema maybe.
