Marcus Rashford

Amorim statements and the vids of him not defending are well known.

Question is why this happens: My take is that he is fed up with UTD and the mess he had been in since 18yrs old, and his dreams of winning big with his boyhood club shattered.

I think a different challenge, and environment, can reignite the fire in him, and we will see a different player, very committed and willing to work hard.

A loan is like a test: basically club takes 0 risk with him.
If he is willing to reduce his salary to come, that is telling. He is not after money

The positive part is that his down seasons have often been followed up by world class ones. He was not far off the best LW in the world that season Man Utd put Barca out the Europa League.

So there is scope for him to turn things round quickly if can get him in right mental space although has been two seasons now.

Flick seems much more of a positive man manager who gets players ready to die for him on pitch compared to Xavi who looked mentally done in last season and was berating and verbally abusing his own players.

Rashford would sulk with likes of Xavi and the hope is the switched could be Flicked if arrived now.

Nice to see you back pal. Your presence was missed, top ball knowledge.

I agree that Rashford's 'flame' could be ignited by Flick if he comes here... it is also a fairly low risk deal if we loan him for 6 months, at worst he will be a decent backup, at the best, he could score bags of goals and be a world-class signing.

Good point and yeah, maybe. Unrelated but I thought the same about Rafa Leao. It's a gamble that's worth trying (of course in case of Leao a gamble too expensive and risky, but in case of Rashford not so much).
