If his private life wasn't exposed this much he'd certainly get less yellow cards. The refs have some sort of prejudice with him, can't deny that. His red vs Liverpool was not even near a yellow yet he got a red card...
Football needs someone like Balotelli, the man went trough some hard times in his life, adopted ect... his biological parents wrote some stuff in the papers ect. He's like most of the 'normal' youths, except he has money, and uses it where ever he can.
I can totally understand him, especially in the context of that game. Song injured Yaya and didn't get a yellow while Yaya got a yellow for something not even foul worthy. I can't look into his mind, but it seems he didn't meant to break his leg or anything, it was a scratch if you look at it rationally as he held back. If he wanted to break his leg he would do it. I'm not trying to defend horror tackles but it seems in this case he did not want to break his leg. If you watch closely he even hit the ball after it bounced off song. People bring up 'WHAT IF', but it didn't happen... if we used the WHAT IF argument we could go and have red parties almost every game.I think we can. His tackles against Arsenal were more suited to a kickboxing arena than a football pitch. If any 'prejudice' is held against him, it is more likely for his petulance on the field than his idiocy off it.
you are using the 'what if' argument to try and get into this guy's head regarding that tackle. no matter what was going through his mind, that was a dangerous ass tackle that deserved a red no matter if he clipped the ball or not. i remember watching that game, and everyone in the park knew the guy was going to get sent off, he was throwing ridiculous challenges all over the place.I can totally understand him, especially in the context of that game. you're right, we can't blame him for not getting the red, but we can blame him for being reckless and not doing himself any favors with his attitude and actions. like when he got the red, he struts off the pitch slow as can be while his team is down 1-0, which just adds fuel to the fire. he just has a piss-poor attitude and it shows on and off the pitch. sure, some of that is intense media scrutiny but a lot of it is his own doing. They tried to demonize him after that game as if he out kill someone. He should have the benefit of the doubt as it (to me atleast) didn't seem he was out to break his leg. The red he got in the end was pure out of frustration and in the context of the game understandable, as we all know his temper.
And the city representatives who got mad, it's not like the scoreline would have been different if he didn't got his red, it was almost the end of the game anyway.
The ref was slightly biased in that game, that was the reason he got angry in the first place.
And yes, the tackle looked horrible at first glance and perhaps he should have got an red card from that perspective. But that was the decision of the ref, and we can't blame Balotelli for not getting the red. But I don't think he wanted to break his leg or anything.
