Probably true but he looks capable of at least starting against low end La Liga teams or a late sub after we have a lead. He instilled more confidence in me than Mathieu has, judging strictly from how they looked in the pre-season friendlies.

I do find it pretty hilarious though that the player who replaced him at Fluminense, happens to be Henrique.

Originally before this season Marlon, had been constantly paired up with Gum for the team. but the team struggled last season and nearly was Regulated, so they hired a new manager Levir Culpi. and He wanted more Veterans on the field which led to Marlon getting the benched for Henrique.

I read a lot of articles in regards to Fluminense and reading comments from Fluminense fans, they were not happy with Marlon being benched in favor of Gum and Henrique, and you constantly see them shit on Gum and Henrique for being Slow and not remotely good with the ball and error prone as well.

The also hate that their board has been selling their young Jewels so quickly in favor of bringing in Older players who weren't really that good. Despite all this Fluminense love that they have had a lot of other youth products play in Europe, making a name for themselves, knowing they originally came through their youth system.

Marlon has been fully convincing to the first team Technicians, that you will likely see him fill the 5th CB role while also playing for the B team since Vermaelen, has gone on loan to Roma. and they also state we are still following Lemos as well to go along with Marlon.

It certainly says a lot about Marlon and his potential.

The problem is injuries,if you have a major injury like Rafinha had in one of the 3 CBs then you have a big problem if your only back up turn out to be a 21 years old CB who was on the bench for a team in Brazil.
Let him develop this year and take his minutes with 1st team when he can.if improves he will be the 4th CB in 17/18

I think Lopez will Rotate CB's this season.

Tarin is considered his #1 but I could see Marlon being Paired up with him quite often. Then we have guys like Lopez,Villanova,Martinez and Qunti(If he doesn't leave) as other options as well.

If we're really going to fight for promotion I really hope Villanova and Martinez don't get as much time in the rotation. Neither one has any right to be there, imo. Tarin, Lopez, Marlon, and Quinti should be plenty good enough.
