The hype surrounding this guy is absurd. We all know the likelihood is he will not make the a-grade. Freddy Adu knows the score

Im not impressed by his video, am I the only one?

I think you are. Considering he did this on a consistent basis at 15 is not impressive to you? Then there's no point in discussing this further.

Now that's just silly. Why are all of these world class clubs working hard to secure his signature then? Him being regarded as an exceptionally rare talent by these clubs isn't just some fluke, if there is one young talent that likely will make the a-grade, it's Martin.

My sentiments exactly...Surely the scouts of 20-30 top clubs know better than we do...
Granted, there was also a lot of hype about Adu (though the interest was more exaggerated by the American media than what actually was the case), but he only had physical strength and some comparative talent going his way.

Martin, unlike Freddy, is constantly being kept on the ground by Godset staff, as well as a father who seems to be quite calculating in his guidance.

Moreover, Martin is a very hardworking kid, who stays for further training after the daily team practices are over; doing all sorts of drills with and without the ball.

Last, but not least, he has been under some intense focus, especially in Norway, since his debut in April, but he has always kept his feet on the ground thus far...
For him the hype is nothing new, just that it spilled over the Norwegian borders in the past few weeks

He has not been tested at all. I am not saying he won't be a good player, but the hype is risible.

He's been playing along big, strong men and completely owning them on a weekly basis in the Norwegian league at the age of 15! That qualifies as being "tested" at such a young age in my book. This kind of gap isn't something you see often even when players the same age play together.

What, would you only be impressed and call it "being tested" if he was put on against Chelsea and bossed Matic at 15? What he has shown makes him unique already, the Norwegian league isn't fantastic, but it's not like any other 15 year old talent from any of the top club academys could strap on a pair of football boots and go and boss the league like he has.

I understand you're Norwegian and so this may be an emotional matter for you, but until he has proved his talents in a top league it doesn't count for much. Kids at 17, 18 get hyped for performances in the 2nd tier of footballing powerhouse nations and then flop at big clubs occasionally.

And the hype must be putting a lot of pressure on him.

He's 15/16, not 17/18 though.

I watched him come on as a sub in the intl. friendly against Estonia. You could tell by his playing style and calmness that he's something else. From the minute he entered the game changed, every time he got the ball, he created something dangerous.
By that, I could tell that this 15yo kid has it all.

Rumenigge said there is no deal yet and he doesnt expect a decision in the next weeks.
He is going to train at Ajax and at Barca in the next year, so he wont pick a side before that.
