Now the question is do we go for zubi who would be more expensive or merino who is more affordable.

He was decent but not great IMO. And the difference between him and Rodri was felt but the entire team was just superior and this helps.

I am honestly a bit indifferent regarding him, states hate the guy and player in that position you need to follow closely to know the whole story tbh and that is tough with a team like Sociedad.

With 60M release clause you would think some club will take a punt or even enters a serious negotiation, nothing in the past 3 years.
I don't believe he is any sort of saviour, but can be a 6/10 type of a starter.

There's a great talent called Javier Mascherano.

He can also play CB too. A bit old though.
