Well, Dortmund won't qualify for CL or EL - so he won't be cup tied. But 40M for a player that was sidelined for over 1 year and playing for a team fighting relegation is way to much. Misunderstand me correctly, I like('ed) Gundogan - he does come close to prime Xavi in his best moments. But since his comeback he's had some bright moments, but unfortunately more bad moments (I've only seen 2-3 games and some highlights) - I'm very much on the fence if he can really be at his best again.

Iv'e seen the kid play and he's entertaining and all but what makes him better than Iniesta? Iniesta is definitely aging and DOES NOT fit Lucho's system but how long will Lucho be here....will Kovacic actually be an upgrade? No idea why people are still asking about Samper...he is more of a DM and slow, the coach knows that too. We already got Busquets who is young and Mascherano...no way he will suddenly become the CM we need and be anything like prime Xavi.

Suarez is 28, Messi is 27....we need players that make the team better NOW. Once Messi is gone people are going to realize we wasted way too much of his good years.

True. Since Braida was appointed, Barca has consistently and more than normal been linked to Serie A based players, and I can't say I'm pleased about it. The league is in decline, and I would be sceptical about bringing their players, unless they are proven on the Intl level. Kovačić is talented, but at this moment won't be an upgrade, nor solve our MF conundrum.
