BBZ,being such a drama queen. It's karma for constantly shitting on our la masia grads. Next time, go easy on the criticism, may be then you'll see one of your preferred young targets join Barca. :coffee:

This move doesnt look comprehensible from Kovacic's point of view.

I wonder how Madrid managed to get his signing.

Kova is worth €35m compared to the hefty €80m (or more) price tag on Pogba.

And last but not least, Pogba plays in a much better club than Kova's Inter...

Yes. Which also means Pogba had to share the limelight with players like Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio.

BBZ and Luft, that's a parody account

I don't know what is your problem lately with me talking bad about La Masia kids.

I don't hate youngsters in general, as you can see with Kova.
I can write posts how Adama, D. Suarez, Halil and other guys are awesome, and how are future is bright, but that won't change the reality.
But hyping or believing in our players (even though they are extremely average), just because they are ours, lol, good luck with that.

Anyway, I am for the scenario of buying older players, but even I would like some younger talents every now and then.
Halil was a horrible pick, imo.
Gerson, luckily, we avoided him.
Kova was one of my favorites.

DonAK Flavia, sorry, my bad.

I was reading some Croatian newspapers and they said that this was Real Madrid's account.
I didn't check it deeper, just posted.

We just won a quadruple for the 2nd time, and might get a quintuple. rm really has nothing to mock us right now, it doesn't matter who they sign.

wouldn't this be our 3rd quintuple? recall we got 5 trophies in 2011 (all except CDR), and of course there is the 6 in 6 in 2009.

I have said before, Real is screwed for the next 3-4-5 years and our current transfers are good (Arda especially. He is a better pick than my favorite Kova. For THIS era).
But yes, when Messi will be gone, new era will start, and Real are having better prospects for THAT moment.

Again, we are safe for the next 4+ years.
Anyway, my wish would be to avoid signings of D. Suarez, Halil, Gerson and similar and to try to buy some "real deal" in the next 4 years, so that our future AFTER Messi will also look better.

Mats and Neymar are the only younger players bought in the last 3-4 years who are a real deal.
We will need more of those, and less Gerson's.

4 years is a long time to get players. Our depth now is thin, but I think next summer will be a busy one.

Yeah like Real Madrid is famous for signing players to show for 5 years later. They don't merely sign the young players for the reason you mention. They sign them to make a profit by selling them some years later. Good luck seeing even half of these so called 'future' of Real Madrid wearing the same jersey when Messi is gone.

I agree. I have serious doubts this guy or any of their midfielders will be there in 4-5 yrs as mainstays in that starting XI. Perez's attention span doesn't last long enough for them to create a solid team structure before folks are shipped and brought again.

Still Kovacic is a better transfer than Pogba based on what Madrid need right now.

This "signing young players for later"-thing never works, lets be honest. They never improved without regular starting time.
Right now I cant really think of a talent who was bought, kept in the club for some years as a sub and then used as a starter later because he actually improved. Maybe there are counter-examples but I cant think of one. Kovacic has basically half a month, to instantly mesmerize the spectators, otherwise he will get benched with that midfield competition and since he has signed a 6yr contract, that would be his career end.

Talking about Kovacic, Real Madrid are and will be buying more players in Ødegaard's position. Maybe he should've waited a bit before jumping the gun on the RM move. Wouldn't have hurt if he stayed here with Godset another year. I'm sure they would have been delighted to keep him for a bit longer.

But isn't Benitez known for hell bent on rotating players? He probably will find ways to accommodate some of their young players like Kovacic.
