If they cant register the players then Laporta needs to resign.

Everthing they claimed last summer the levers for has not come to fruition and they wasted it in comparison to what team needed long term.

Apparently he wanted the likes of Busquets, Roberto and Alba punted but Xavi values them...wouldnt be suprised if Messi coming back was not on his agenda either.

Wouldnt be surprised if he disagrees with so many of these renewals and old players being signed/targetted as many on here say same.

The idea with bringing back Messi is that you can maybe win the league again next season. If you can bring him back for a good wage, then it's simply the pragmatic option for a club in our position.

Sure you'd try to sign Leao, or Osimhen, but everyone with some logic in his brain can see it's not possible, and if you look at free agents next summer, Gundogan and Messi are gonna provide impact in La Liga for sure.

These are old players but with a lot of technical quality on the ball. Something which we have lacked this season. We aren't winning CL anyway next season, so I'd be open to maximizing our chances to retain the title in Spain.

Seems clear he doesnt agree with how Xavi sees the squad and building for the future.

Alonso, Roberto and Busi renewed. Alba kept. Messi to come in and play behind a 35 year old on huge cost to the books.

Then targetting other older players.

Good move for him to get out really.

Seems he wanted Pique, Busquets, Roberto and Alba gone two summers ago and Laporta refused to take them on.

Since then he doesnt trust/agree with many of Xavis targets signings and renewal of captains he wanted gone two years ago is the last straw.

Feels team is going backwards and decisions not being made for future of club.

Absence of funds but looking to sign one of the highest paid players in the world. That makes no sense.

If he comes back it is because he is valued to make a difference in the squad and they would have made a big economic effort to do so.

Nah... free agent and potentially short contract makes a lot of sense. La Liga will not allow the contract to be registered if it's not a short contract on a decent wage anyway.

It's likely the guy god a good ofer from a club where he has more funds and less politics to deal with. Sometimes, you just have to shake hands and move on separate ways. We can't do what we want, we need to bolster the squad with some limitations.

Barca are not easy club to deal with and it's been like that for many decades.
