The solution is simple, Bench pique.
ofcourse,Hummels could play more with Puyol,but then again we all know how the situation with Puyol is.So we may need Hummels and if we could get Thiago Silva or Kompany it would be a perfect pair,but it seems impossible

This, but then we still need someone for Puyol, or are we really going to try and play hummels-Puyol/Mascherano all year with them being injured most of the time or Masche being out of position scoring own goals?

Neymar transfer fucks up our budget, if only they could postpone it for a year and focus on defence first, sell Villa and Alexis to buy Kun and promote Deulofeu.
yeah as it seems its all about neymar,its a huge risk it would be better if we can secure our defense,but we also have problems in attack that only neymar himself wont solve..so its a little bit complicated
No. Actually Thiago Silva is better than Hummels in almost every aspect. The only thing Mats does better is passing, but only slightly. That doesnt mean Hummels is bad choice though.
My prefered choice would be Silva, but if hes really going to cost 40M then its better to take Hummels and another CB like Kyriakos Papadopoulos or Marquinhos for the same price. (40-45M)

This! + the fact that Hummels has a contract till 2017(!) and no termination clause and after a losing Götze already, Santana on his way out and probably Lewa, Dortmund will not under any circumstance sell a key-player at @ marketvalue + 1 million. This is just not going to happen.

mixer mate I think you are forgetting to win sometimes you have to spend large.--cost is not matter when you eye for three front glory.
Its better to get one best than to have 2 average CB.We are barcelona we can afford.

I don't think pairing him with Pique is that bad ,I think those 2 can be good against most teams we play against in the league ,probably group stages in CL as well and most of CDR ,It is probably gonna hurt us when a team with very fast players are playing ,like Bayern or RM
I think another CB or either Puyol or Masch can play those games for now ,may be a new cheaper CB ,but honestly I don't see most of the teams we are playing against making a Hummels-Pique duo looking bad
