although i would take silva over him any day it would be interesting to see how 2 ball players in pique and hummels would work

Think Mats will end up at City. They've been linked, and could do with a reliable parter for Kompany in the center.. The other top EPL clubs don't really need him, and couldn't afford him. Don't know if he'd be interested in a Serie A move. And Barca continue to explore other CB options.

Rafa - Piquez had potential before Rafa got injured again and returned to being Bad Rafa. And Hummels is a bit more athletic than Marquez and his heir are. Still don't think he's the practical choice for Barca though.

The pairing managed to bench Puyi, and did really well pre-rafa injury 08/09. Mats-Geri could work, but the extent of it is doubtful. Agree with you.

Just watched Dortmund-Stuttgart game, was an AMAZING thriller. Hummels gave excelent pass to second goal and scored third goal which was very good shot from ~18 meters but then unfortunately made a mistake that gost a 4:4 goal for them :( But had a very good game at defence too :)

Hummels is playing really well right now against Gladbach, his long passes are just insane.

Almost scored, had some nice tackles. Shame I can´t watch the 2nd half...
