Wouldn't know this guy existed if DonAK wasn't bumping his thread weekly

Something like gasgas posting lineups, sort of a tradition

Think he is at a solid level and will still get better, but he is also getting slightly overrated imo.

This 100%. He's not a very mobile or quick player so his positioning has to be perfect. There are times he gets caught out of position but he will improve. I think he will come here but it may take a couple of years for that to happen. We don't have that luxury. We need a cb and physical midfielder NOW.

Getting?
I said similar things to what Barcilliant is saying 2-3 years ago when the hype got out of hand after his Ajax run in the CL - that he would have to improve a lot to become a dominant defender for 10 years. His age and the arm band played a large factor in his hype, many not realising that his weaknesses wouldn't go away by themselves and that he wasn't that great for a 27 yo player.
If anything, he must be on his way to be correctly rated or even underrated, with rumours about Juventus being fine selling him, Barcelona fans not sure if they want him, and so on.

I think he could add a lot to Barcelona, but let's see what Garcia can bring first. There can be hope around Mingueza and Araujo still, and then there is Comas and the others in Barcelona B, and the possibility of Laporte apparently, and Lenglet and Pique shouldn't be completely disregarded yet either I don't think. It's more about the collective defensive work than individual players, but de Ligt would be great at the right price.
