[ @gerardromero] | Cesar Azpilicueta is very close to Bar?a. The club already has an agreement in principle with the Spanish player for next season and he will come for free

Makes me think we will try to get Mazraoui and Azpilicueta for free and then splash big money on De Ligt.

Which would be a shame.

If we can get Mazraoui, Azpilicueta and Christensen on a free and then spend the entire transfer budget on Haaland in the summer we will be in prime shape.

Why I feel like there's way better free agents available than ever before? Change in player tactics to get paid/total freedom to do whatever they want?

Before I felt like Free agents were mostly great/good past it's or good subs max you had to overpay. Very rarely anyone good.

In our financial situation, it's of course good thing.

And free agent like Mbappe almost never happens.

Of course our quality has dropped too, but I think a lot of free agents could help us right now.

Something like that yeah. A lot of money to be gained from sitting out your contract.

Covid definitely a factor as well. Contracts are usualy renewed when 2-3 years left and with the uncertainties of Covid I think many renewals were delayed during 2020. Then players realized there's only 1-2 years until that fat bonus.

2021 had OK players, 2022 a bit better, and 2023 could probably theoretically compose a league winning XI. Many of these will most likely be renewed, but a few will definitely move for free in 2023.

Salah, Sterling, Rashford, Mane, Oblak, Gnabry, Vlahovic, Skriniar, Jesus, Coman, Tielemans, Fabian Ruiz, Kante, Koulibaly, Lewandowski, Messi

Yeah, we should definitely pay attention to free agent market. It seems to be more attractive than before.

Players want total control of their faith. It's risky but potentially a lot more money too and freedom to choose.

He is not at all mobile. He has his moments where he looks great but I've seen him struggle many times against quicker, smarter opposition.

You're welcome
No, we should not go after him. We will end up paying too much and he is not that mobile as barcilliant said.

But Juve fans been praising him in recent weeks. Happy for him.
