As i predicted early on Frenkie would come right now i can safely say if Barca plays it right Mathijs will come too....
Mathijs simply loves Frenkie and wants to play with him at the same club so 1 and 1 is Barca

Sadly the amount of money dneeded is about the same

5 more days for the window to close, if we want to get him we need to act soon. No more last-minute trips.

Unless of course, if we think his price will go down and we get him in summer.

Moreno would be amazing, but not so sure he wants be second choice. That's basically why he is leaving Liverpool.

Concerning MDL, it's crazy that the club needs to pay for a service the agent provides for his client mdl. How does that make sense. Normally i wouldnt deal with Raiola but de ligt is just too good to pass on. But paying 12-14m too a guy who negoioates a contract? That's way off, and shouldn't be possible. I would rather burn the money then give it to the greedy clown Raiola.

Greedy clown raiola you say, why top players and most wanted players mostly appoint raiola or mendes, because they can secure them most money they can get, money is throwed like paper in todays football, why just not grab as much as you can, raiola is top guy for that, i would like those skills

Do you think players pick barca because of history or because barca give best salarys? Nobody from top players today goes to struggling european giant milan, because money

Actually Digne cut it here, he left because he wanted more playing time but he was a solid back up LB that both the coach and the club hoped to keep.

I wasn't that satisfied with him, drop off from Alba was huge in the attacking side. I was good with selling for a small profit though I thought another deputy would be brought in.

The more I think about Lucas Hernandez would be perfect as he an play both cb and lb. Maybe we should match Bayern's proposed 8.5mil salary and do the 85mil buyout. All in all this is a neighborhood of what it will take for De Ligt except a player with more high-level experience, more proven. And then you also weaken our toughest league rival and block another potential CL rival.

We can't afford to have Miranda, so far he has shown he isn't remotely ready for 1st team football.
I would prefer to make an offer for Moreno and get him for free rather than counting on Miranda.

Moreno is rubbish. Cuccurella is a good backup for Alba. 4M buy back clause

I think his price will be everything in his case: If Ajax + Raiola allows a reasonable fee we will get him. If they don't, we can't afford to splash on him.
I don't know where the line is, but I guess somewhere around 50-60M tops.

We have leverage with De Jong, so he needs to tell Ajax that he only wants to come here, for it to happen. Other clubs will be willing to pay more than us no matter what.

I would be surprised if Barça can manage to buy him under the price of De Jong.

The market for centerbacks has more opportunities than midfield-market, tbh. That will drive the price down. PSG won't care for sure, and could meet anything that Ajax asks, so you could be right. I guess PSG would be proud to have the most expensive CB in the world for, say 90-100M. We won't go that far, for sure. Maybe getting Todibo now is negotiation-tactics towards Ajax to make it credible that we have other alternatives and is not pressured to buy.

There is absolutely no way he will come this winter, so we have enough time to negotiate.

No need to lock him down this winter already, the priority was lock one of them down, then we have until the summer to get/convince the other one to join us too. And since we got one of them now, that should give us a nice advantage ahead of any other clubs, not to mention Barca was De Ligt and De Jong's first choice either way anyway.

If our Board will stop messing around and let Ajax and especially De Ligt know that we're serious about getting him, and keep in touch with both parties throughout the next few months, i don't see us losing out on him in the end. And i really hope we do get him, getting De Jong was already a major coup, but also getting De Ligt would just be a massive statement of intent, that we really have the best sporting project for the next 10 years, and that we're already almost ready for life after Messi. Until then, he's just a bonus on getting great players to join us, because they want to experience playing with the GOAT, until they can.

Imagine MATS, De Ligt, Umtiti, De Jong, Arthur, Alena, Puig?, Oriol?, Dembele, Coutinho?, Malcom?, now that's a healthy core of players for the next decade. Now obviously we won't keep all of them, but even if keep only the major ones in MATS, De Ligt, Umtiti, De Jong, Arthur and Dembele, we should have a strong core to build on even years after Messi retires.

Giving statments how barca is settled for the next 10 years are just absurd, you hardly keep players for few season, let alone 10 years in todays market, there are so much things to consider, coaches that players will not like, getting bored playing in la liga or just getting enough in one place for 2, 3 seasons.

And in the end you are mentioning players like oriol, puig, malcolm, alena... All of them still far from starters in barca, what makes you think next coach will develop them in a first team material. And de jong, arthur, dembele, still just a talents with possibility they dont really succed here, i mean, look at coutinho, struggling here, and he was proven player from though legaue, de jong is coming from eredivision, and you see him as a starter and 10 year material instantly, same as de ligt if he comes here, please.

Where does this assumption come from? After Ney and Mbappe they have been turning every penny. FFP is real for them as evidenced by their lack of spending and no midfield for several years.

Well, that could afford De Jong, and got a cheaper option, so therefore they must be able to afford De Ligt? That's my reasoning anyway - I don't have any inside information

But psg needs midfielders so can't see them splashing so much money on a defender. De Jong was another case, he was actually a player type they needed.
