Okey okey okey, i don't insist. What i really like about Puig is something entirely different i saw from some of our previously hailed young. Competence. Haven't seen that till times of young Busquets. The little guy sure know what he's doing on every step of his way. And he does this despite quite bad physical disadvantage to opposite players. Color me excited, sorry. If he gets developed right, he can get to Xavinesta level, i really believe. I have no such belief with other current la masia players.

This kid is a pure gold! And I thought Alena is a real gem but this kid is definitely above anything I have recently seen from La Masia.

In my opinion Alena is far more talented and impressed far more last preseason, and even last season for Barca B. Glad to have them both.

Maybe i haven't seen Alena enough, but he seems to be someone, who could reach Roberto's level not much more. He's also similar to him in that he's more of a runner, not thinker. This Puig boy seems closest thing to young Xavi i've seen for all these years following youngsters. Incredible vision and passing range/precision for such a wee lad and despite almost unhealthy small frame, he actually does pretty well at avoiding being bullied by blokes twice his size. Has great agility and all the turns and spins we were used to see Xavi use to avoid being overwhelmed. Just need to get some brawn on and not flop due to weak mentality or something like that.

God damn you people don't have even the slightest clue what you're talking about and making these comments based off of 90 minutes of preseason is just embarrassing. Puig, closest thing to Xavi? Alena, not a "thinker"?

Fucking hell, these are hands down some of the dumbest things I've ever read on here.

It’s silly season. Quite a few are taking it literally.

It seems silly, when your reading comprehension is that of a 12year old. I'm not comparing anyone quality wise, stop overreacting. In my opinion he's the most talented guy from la masia in last decade. Don't know what anyone sees in Alena. Yet another b2b workhorse.

People tend to overreact when you don't portray things accurately. Alena's no workhorse nor a b2b player. He's a very attacking minded player with good vision. Why people have high hopes for him? Because he's a full package. (1) intelligent, shows good understanding of the game (2) physically strong (3) technically gifted. Riqui hasn't even played for the B team and it's too early to judge. Even if he was more talented, there wouldn't be guarantees he'll make it bigger than Alena. Maybe he is a bigger talent, you might be right, I'm not yet to judge.

Yes, my point was about raw talent. I also like that he's pure playmaker. Alena is yet another attacking, vertical player and maybe i don't appreciate him enough, but given from what i've seen, he's no less overhyped than Suarez, Delufeu or Samper were. Obviously, it's all 'let's see what happens' for now. Will definitely watch Barca B matches this season when possible.

I think Alena is far superior talent, but Puig beats him in one category and that is having a true position in Barca system
Alena has a bit of Rafinha in him, he isn't a CM, he is an attacking player who can assist/score/dribble and can even defend for his position. But in Barca system you don't know if he is a winger or AM. and even in EV 442 he looks like a Messi/Dembele sub. He will struggle to adapt but if he is able to do so sky is the limit

Wow you people! Calm down! Alena is a wonderful talent and we are happy to have them both. I am also quite sure he can play as a CM player. Look at Rakitic for exaple he has played as CAM in Sevilla, CM for Barca uder Lucho and now as a DM. Modric can also play as a CM/DM/AM so I wouldn’t worry about Alena position too much. I am sure he can adapt. He just needs to work hard and develop and than we can talk what position is perfect for him.

I personaly said that I like Puig a bit more just because he is more agile and I prefer this type of players but Alena has other advantages over Puig. First of all he is a stronger player and a midfielder with great goal scoring capabilities. Calling him a workhorse...

He was getting a bit of abuse by some Milan players. Loved seeing Munir rush to defend him. Malcom came over and had his back as well. Nice chemistry among the new guys.
