This guy is like crypto currency or the game stop stocks thing. People just create expectations out of nothing and then they get burned.
Pjanic is supposed to be the creative one.
Top 5 midfielder in Europe?!! I like Puig and he has great potential but he’s definitely nowhere close to being the best midfield at his own club let alone Europe.

If FDJ is top 3 or even top 1, and Puig overshines him most of the time...
Well he can't keep playing like this when starting, then you will be right and I wrong.
He had a pretty hopeless situation tonight, but he disappointed me. I do think he tired himself out trying to press in the beginning. Wonder if Greasy and Braithwaite were supposed to help with the press or not...?

The same as with Arthur, as time passes, people realize more and more of his flaws.
Aside from:
1. Bad physique
2. Bad shooting for a Cam
3. Bad defending (except headless chicken pressing)
Lately we are learning:
4. That he plays better as a sub against dead tired players. He usually sucks as a starter as seen iirc 3-4 times this season
5. His play is very erratic. Pedri seems to read and anticipate the game and he always sees 2-3 moves in the future. With Puig, he asks for the ball, he gets the ball, makes his trademark 3-4 steps short sprint and either:
1) aimlessly runs into a crowd and loses the ball
2) loses the ball with some trying too hard too impress through ball
3) or sees that he will lose the ball (after running into a crowd) and plays a backpass.
Then he asks for the ball again and repeats the same.
6. His pressing is also erratic. He presses high up the pitch and if he doesn't win the ball, there are miles of space behind his back for slow Busquets to cover in a counter
Anyway, he is passionate, he tries a lot, and he has some nice Barca DNA technique and movement.
But all in all, he is a midfielder with a teengirl physique who seems pretty dumb in reading the game and attacking patterns compared to other La Masia midfielders like Xavi, Iniesta, Busi, Fabregas, Thiago or even Pedri.
Imo, he is still one of the most overrated players ever on this forum.
What do you think about Pedri?
He was so so early on in this season.
But he works hard on his physique and he seems to read the game way better.
Today, a few times he played like Xavi.
As if he is making feints and you see that he knows exactly where will he move and pass AFTER the faint.
He sees 2-3 moves into the future.
Also, Pedri defends positionally way better and he covers back, unlike Puig who mostly presses high up the pitch.
Also, Pedri's personality seems to be more professional and hardworking than Puig's.
Pedri needs to start shooting though and improve even more in: keep it simple and efficient.
Pedri is a starter and a longterm keeper material, maybe even NT player.
Puig will play as a squad player for Girona in the future.
