I guess it depends on what each person's ambitions are. For some, the role of a 3rd goalkeeper/squad player type would be a dream job. Training all week making loads of money, drive nice cars, wear all the nicest clothes but you don't play much football and you're okay with that because the lifestyle you are afforded from that is great.

However, some may love football so much that they'd be willing to earn much less to play more. It's subjective which approach is right. I think there will come a time in his career where he will grow sick of not playing and accept the Barca dream is over (assuming his situation doesn't change).

He plays football every day, with Messi and Busquets.
I am retired but would much rather dream about that, and get 5 minutes game time here and there as a 21 yo than to play in Eibar. And I am not from Barcelona.

I am sure he'll want to play more games, we'll see if he leaves this window if Koeman stays. Probably. If so, it is not to FC Barcelonas benefit. He will surely earn more his next contract though, whether it be at Barcelona or Eibar.

There are a lot of people here who try to sit above this kid who already acheived more than them. I wonder as I said if they are the same at their own job, if one year without being seen as crucial for the company is enough to make them switch job? If they never had to work to reach something? I think he has been exemplary, a model professional, I have never seen a player do so much with so sporadic game time, and keep a happy face.

As many have said... living the dream as Barca player and not interested in going out to prove himself as a footballer.

Being happy just to be at Barca lacks ambition and could well damage his career.

Spends all day on his phone according to Griezmann. Definitely very obsessed about his image as a Barca player and all the fame he gets to enjoy. Hope someone just sends him out on loan forcefully at this stage

If he doesn't want to go on loan then he's just a moron who got a small taste of fame and doesn't want to let it go.

Riqui reading the Mavericky thread on Barcaforum confirmed. Probably pissed off Koeman by showing him Bobo32 posts about himself.

Think about it, it is not like you have a chance to become a Barca player and is hailed as a youth talent. He may enjoy this.

Millionaire father and maybe not got it in him to push on with his career as a footballer and money cant buy him the exposure he gets as a Barca player. As he is one of the most bizarrely fawned upon players in recent times.

What I don't understand is how has nobody ever told him he needs to put on quite a bit of muscle.

The question got asked here several times but conveniently never gets answered. Unfortunately the top 3 midfielder in the world has other priorities , like checking every 0.5 second how he looks on camera

That is the reason he will stay. He knows that he is not good enough for elite level football, and a loan move would confirm that. Better to stay while keeping the illusion in the media that he is a big talent, who the coach hates.

Why risk and go to Eibar on loan and flop, he would lose all his fame overnight.

Finally a worthy opponent for Ronaldo.

Btw, reason why he doesn't try to put some muscle is probably that will kill his agility which is his only asset.

I'm not expecting him to get injected with horse hormones and have him look like Joel Romero. But he should at least have a similar build like Lucas Torreira for example. Should be a minimum imo.

tranfermarkt says he only weighs 56kg, thats shocking, Lukaku would send him to hospital with one tackle.... ne needs to increase his weight by 10kg more, then he will be at normal level.
