Pretty sure every midfielders would make that pass. It doesn't need super vision and technique to do. Plenty of space ahead, no one block or press.
Again if there is no fluke goal you wouldn't even mention this pass. There are several passes in the game (no spectacular pass btw) that lead to shot action but no goal so of course no one would mention it.

i think that most people seing an open pass like that would take another touch to delay the decision and evaluate the option more carefully, which would mean that the path would have likely closed.

It isn't one touch pass or fast pass anyway.

This is problem with likes of Puig. Folk stall on this type of thing and massively overhype it. Then convince themselves he is one of best in team at opening up a game and can make passes no others can.

I think it's the other way around. Somebody mentions a good thing Puig did (lol at your reinterpretation with Lenglet making those passes multiple times a game) and the service-Puig bashers pop-up with their feathers ruffed.

It was a good pass that led to a goal. Doesn't mean he's Zidane now, but to just turn everything he does, even the good bits, into mediocrity just because you don't like him (as we could forget) is laughable.
