I would say he's utterly retarded already for staying, but then again I think he has no ambition and loves his Barcelona life style too much.

Still think Puig should've left last winter. Since it was obvious Koeman didn't rate him and he made it clear. Wasted a good chunk of his youth on the bench, while others developed and took over. Last winter a year and a half loan with an option to return this summer if the coach (be it Koeman or someone else) wants him. A loan this summer would be way better too.

I don't disagree. If he had such loan deals on the table which would've allowed him to return if a new manager counts on him at Barca, he should've 100% taken it. No downside basically, only upside of playing more.

There's no downside even if no such option existed. Coming back from a successful loan spell increases everybody's chances. A waste altogether.

Doesnt seem to have the confidence and discipline to develop further at another club. At this point don’t think it’s even about him thinking to break through at barca. Just think he is super comfortable. Probably loves the city Barcelona a lot and happy with girlfriend.
