I wasn't able to watch the match live last night but did watch replay afterwards. Galaxy played a little more cagey but kept the pressure on and were able to grind it out. Vaney made perfect sub at half time with Delgado for Reus who wasn't providing the usual and former made the high quality pre-a for winning goal. Proud of the team even if it wasn't another 5-1 bashing. 10 year drought over.

Yikes. I saw during the game that he looked like he was tending to an injury but had no idea it was an ACL by the way he continued to play. Must not be a full tear, but still requires surgery for a pro athlete.

And fuck 100% artificial turf fields. Absolutely should be banned in professional sports.

I was at the game at Dignity Health Sports Park. When the final whistle blew, I knew something was horribly wrong. He dropped to the floor and immediately started crying. Fagundez went to console him and I think he told him sometihng because at the end he looked really sad too. I think he knew immediately he had torn his ACL and then told his team members.

A bittersweet victory. Let's hope the team is more motivated to win the MLS cup for Puig. Vamos Galaxy!

BTW, I know defending is shit in MLS but he is literally everywhere on the pitch when you watch him live. He obviously has the freedom to move anywhere on the pitch since he is their best player, but his stamina is something else. He is constantly running for 90 mins, and he has done this throughout this season. Amazing player that I am sure would succeed in a lot of European clubs.

I'm sad for him that he doesn't get to complete the season. It seems he has played very well and it would have been much deserved to get the final and potentially win it.

That's without even going into the extent of an ACL injury.

Poor lad.
