Was Xavi finished after tearing his ACL?
He is part of the few exceptions to the rule I’m afraid

According to sports scientist Dr Rajpal Brar of 3CB Performance: “An anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury can be difficult to recover from because it often involves multiple residual deficits such as quadriceps muscle atrophy, changes in movement patterns, and compensation along the rest of the body (which may lead to compensatory injuries).

“Further, the research shows an ACL graft can take upwards of 18 months to 2 years to fully integrate into the body, side to side leg asymmetry (a key indicator of injury risk) exists for an average of 2 years after injury.

The psychological effects present their own challenges, as Dr Brar adds: “And lastly, fear of movement/reinjury (kinesiophobia) is one of the last things to subside which speaks directly to the psychological impact of the injury.”

In bygone days, significant ACL damage often spelt the end of a player’s career

so chihua's and Bernal's careers are over too most likely
It is an incredibly serious injury iniesta ultra

I know this is hard time for you but it’s better to accept the bad news than to brush it off.

Maybe Puig is one of the exceptions and he will come back stronger not one person on this earth knows what will happen

Bernal and Gavi are both younger and play on a much bigger stage.

I don't think Puig's career is by any means over. He can still continue to thrive in MLS with no problems once he recovers. But this massively decreases the chances of him coming back to Europe and reviving his career.

But even that still can't be ruled out, who knows

Providing an assist with a torn ACL is going to automatically put him down as a Galaxy legend.

Not followed him whatsoever since he left Barca to be perfectly honest but glad he’s making a decent career for himself.

Providing an assist with a torn ACL put him right next to the cruyfs and fat ronaldos in my opinion. !

Xavi and etoo came back stronger than ever after their ACL ! I think the will of the players plays a major role in overcoming that . Vandjk and courtois are doing fine too although their positions demand less physical prowess

25 years old playing in MLS is finished actually. Zero cap for international team too (not even make it to U21 team lol).

Anyone who think this bum can return to Europe is either just troll for fun or just stupid.
