But also, Alves is given a much more free role than Maxwell. Yesterday Alves was RB, right winger and central attacking midfielder - he was all over the place and did it very good.
Messi was being Messi - Xavi and Alves looked fantastic - Yaya, Pique and Maxwell did their job - Jeffren, Santos and Muniesa surprised me again - Henrique was OK on RB - Pedro was OK - Henry, Busquets and Bojan were anonymous - Fontas, Sanchez and Pinto were not good - Guddy was even worse than against Galaxy

I still can't believe that we got Maxwell for such a fair price... fair if it can be labeled so; he's been one of our best players during the pre-season, very similar to Dani Alves, well-prepared and resilient. He's still got a lot of room for improvement in the defensive facet of the game. All in all, I'm very happy to have him in the team.

No, not a very offensive LB. Just a left back who knows how to go attacking every once in a while. we don't have that with Abidal.

Well I personally feel he can, I feel has it in him, he is very talented and I like his prospect very much. I just don't think he will be allowed to do just that.. He would leave us exposed on too many occasions.. But we will see wat Pep has in mind..

I know you weren't dissing Maxe Gneg, im just saying he'll be Alves of the left flank once he's settled. ^_^
