Memphis Depay

He has the technique and speed necessary for the attack.

Fati - Depay - Griezmann should be a solid attacking trio for us.
Aguero, Dembele and Braithwaite as attacking subs (in that order).

He has his flaws such as a tendency to lose the ball carelessly and a relative lack of pace for a winger. He is a great shooter of the ball though, has good delivery, decent dribbler, and physically strong. Better at hold-up play than the likes of Braithwaite and links up well with others.

My prediction may backfire, but I think he can do a Salah/Mane. I believe he is the same caliber of player. Better than people think he is

Yeah I guess I can agree on this comparison. If he gets to play with a very high error percentage in a very good team, he could bring both goals and assists. With Messi gone, the opportunity for him is there.
Most of my negativity towards Depay came from Messi already being there - although I very much dislike Depay as a player, I think he can be of more use with Messi gone (obviously it would've been better if Messi stayed)
Salah and Mane became very overrated very quickly when they got to play in that very well-working system, psychologically (at least) doped by playing under Klopp
Reminder that Liverpool got 69p last season, and went out to Real Madrid.

Today Depay was playing even more "for himself" in a few occasions that I noticed, both defensively and offensively.

Add Coutinho to the mix and it's decent. Good subs too.

With Fati, Depay and Dembele, Coutinho should never again play LW.

He can play CM, but based on what we have seen from him so far (ballhoging and long-shots), I would take Pedri, Puig, Demir and even Bob over him.

damn memphis got the 9, didn't knew that. looks way more adept playing there than bumwaite. now we need ansu for left wing.

Didn't he save one goal by running back to Barca's own zone? Saying he was playing all for himself seems harsh.

We have a decent attacking squad with Fati, Depay, Griezmann and even Dembele. Very interesting season ahead.

People forgot it happened but this man pulled off one of the most impressive recoveries in history of football. 1.5 year ago.

Yeah this isn't exactly what I mean. He did many good things and sometimes he tracks back like that, but he isn't really predictable, sometimes he doesn't care to press, and sometimes he just feels like taking a shot out of nowhere etc. Not the type of player I like.
