Memphis Depay

I can already see BBZ losing his shit after a new song gets released 2 days after he had a really bad game. We are used to BBZ writing books about players he dislikes , with Depay he is going to write a trilogy.

 he’s already preparing one because Depay is only 5 foot 9.

A worrying read, but one that doesn?t surprise me. Koeman apparently isn?t known for making the best of signings. So far it seems like we are only chasing players he coached at his previous job, which is never a good sign.

Why isn't it a good sign? Pep signed Thiago at Bayern, Mourinho signed Carvalho at Chelsea, there is nothing wrong with bringing players you trust and know how to get the best out of them. Koeman coaching him before isn't a problem. Depay is a good signing especially for the price.

Well, Messi did say that it's all about plugging holes with this board and that we don't have any vision. But what does a money hungry snake like Messi know?!
He just wants to play with his amigos, right?

Depembele about to conquer Europe.

It's time.

Aside from Dembouz, this will be our best signing since Dani Alves.

BBZ will probably actually like him because he's "cocky" and not a "schoolboy".

:crbust:

Yes.
I like him for now.
He has some nice skills, he can dribble, assist, score goals.
He is not too tall (176cm), but he is not skinny either.
He looks physically stronger than Jesus and Lautaro.

He is better option (it seems) than old Suarez, horrible Lautaro and Jesus.

I am not annoyed by his cockiness.
Someone might say: but why did you hate Neymar?

I don't know.
I like Zlatan's cockiness, I don't mind CR7's cockiness.
Or Depay's.

Yet, with Neymar, I wanted to punch him 24/7.
The most punchable person in a recent history.

Also, Depay should cost around 20m, while Neymar was 100-150 with all hookers for his dad and money to 3rd parties.

Also, Koeman played awesome football with Netherlands.
Frenkie-Wijnaldum-Depay connection could work nice.

We shouldn't expect wonders, but it might look better than EV's and Setien's slowball-football.

Wijnaldum is not a pushover.
Frenkie isn't a pushover.
Depay is a wannabe rapper.

No offense, but we need some of those.
We can't have 11 Iniesta-type-choirboys on a field in a current dirty-warrior-era of football.

Dirty-warrior-era of football? No offence mate but the majority of footballers go to ground rolling and screaming at the slightest contact. Some refs don't put up with that, but some do bit like in the CL final where the ref was blowing up for a foul every 10 seconds.
The dirty era of football was in the 70's and 80's where you had midfielders like Graeme Souness who would kick you all over the park all game.

The last of that was in the 90's, early 00's with Vinnie Jones, Roy Keane, Nigel De Jong etc. All Depay would bring is a different personality, he's not exactly gonna be going through people and then screaming to the crowd after he's crunched someone.
