Opinions, guys, everyone has his own. I could vote for Bendtner if I felt he was the best. Don't get dictatorial the moment someone votes for Neuer or Rooney instead of Messi, CR, and Iniesta. Their votes had no vote anyways, a few stupid voters amongst a 100+ won't have much effect overall.

Alonso has been subpar this season though

But he was a beast second half of last season, and also an important player in Spain's EURO glory. So he's still there on merit, only person IMO that would be more deserving would be Pirlo. My opinion.

i was a huge messi fan from his starting days. However, tbh CR also deserved this award. Allthough messi did the impossible record, and i followed it all the way hoping he would make it, objectively i feel Messi went missing when it mattered for us last season: most classico's, against chelsea. Then again, CR went missing in the new season. Iniesta has the EURO player reward and deserves it but no contender for the 1st spot in ballon d'or.

Somewhere around mid-November. The exact date is not known. My memory is not the best but he was around Peles record at that time ~75 goals.
