I hear a lot of critics in regards to Messi's coat (BTW, it's NOT a suit, it's a coat and pants combo). This was not a funeral (other than for Ronaldo's ever lasting hope) it was the presentation of a contest's recognition award/crowning and nothing so highly formal. In most contests or award shows you tend to see attires that include a certain personal flash; at least give the guy his right to do so; his matched bow tie is far from unusual in similar circumstances. I bet anything that Messi did not pick this attire on his own, but rather with the input from some knowledgeable fashion advise. I'm sure than I can go and search any number of similar TV presentations where male participants (both, hosts and/or award recipients) wore something with a special "feature" that deviates from formal. -BTW, I'm using the word "formal" a little loose here because formal-formal means something totally different- BTW, didn't Puyol show up at a similar show some time back wearing, like, a beach attire, when was that?
