We would effectively only paying them around 7m if we buy him back.

25m -30%, 17.5m, less than 10.3 we got for him.

Good deal, makes it a lot more likely we'll buy him back if he does we'll.

That is not the reason he is out and he was in first season and still raw anyway.

The old 'cant argue with coaches' argument is not some show stopper either or barely be any debate about any player.
Not what this is. They were simply not rating him irregardless of my opinion of him. So it's moot to think he could have been useful.

Thats exactly what it is...

Folk can have opinions the coaches dont agree with even if it is not that simple with Faye clearly.

Xavi didnt rate Bernal or Casado then..

His point is that regardless how good he is, if the coach doesn't rate him and isn't going to use him, he won't be useful.

The coach might be wrong, but that won't make us use him.

Moot point.. folk can think he would be useful and not as simple as Flick doesnt rate him anyway.

The point is what WE think of the player anyway and how useful could be.

Otherwise the argument on any player can be 'moot point it only matters what coach thinks'.

The point is made AFTER he has left regardless and clearly not about how much he will be used next season.

No..again the point is folk can have different opinions from coaches without it being a 'moot point' as coaches wouldnt agree.

Essentially a 'coach knows best' argument as said.

Not that think it is as clear on Faye as Flick not rating him anyway. Nor on Xavi.

Flick probably does rate him, but is being dictated to, rather than dictating. Very much doubt he had much say in the matter of whether he got sold or not.

You guys do realise that we are one injury away from having to rely on Gerard Martin.

Faye's sale was a scandalous bit of business, trying to scramble to fit FFP in order to register Olmo., leaving the squad short of cover at the back. No other reason.

Rennes got themselves a bargain and they know it, no doubt about that.

Even if the whole buy back clause doesn't include us, as was being reported.

Getting him back for 14.7m, not ideal if he works out, but again not bad either.
