If I'm in his position I would think twice about joining Bayer now with Xabi almost surely leaving for Madrid in summer though I'm sure they'll find a good replacement. Probably Sebastian Hoeness from Stuttgart.

Faye has played less minutes this season than a guy like Eric Garcia. He isn't really in a position to be picky tbh.

4th league game for Habib Baye (who is from Senegal btw) as a coach, Faye isn't even on the bench, only played 24 minutes.

Been injured the last few games.

Wouldn't be surprised if the reason we offloaded him were because of these injury issues he has been plagued with since Pre-season.

Most likely the cause of him hardly featuring for Rennes in hindsight.
