I think he only said he was a Madrid fan in a interview because Barcelona had just beaten Albacete 5-0 or similar result, so he was kidding when he said he wanted Madrid to win.

He had a trial 1st their IIRC ,didn't join them but he had trial with them and then us and both wanted him and his father favored Barca. or at least that is what I've read
