Very pleased if it goes through. He's surely better than Bellerin who can't even hold his own in a U21 tournament, and his ceiling looks very high. He has all the right base qualities in a young attacking RB and I think/hope we'll see him bring back some of what we lost when Alves left. Plenty of room to grow but I think our system is also the kind that suits him best, both offensively and defensively.
If Semedo proves his worth and Palencia impresses (IMO he's good at the fundamental level even if not a standout talent) then we'll have gone from a severe lack of depth at RB to being pretty set for the next several years. It also definitively frees up Roberto to move to midfield and likely fight for an important role as well as Vidal who I've badly wanted to see in an advanced position at LW/RW. 1 transfer, 3 areas of the squad decently improved. I said in early June that I would be 100% satisfied with this window even if we only got Semedo and Seri which I still stand by to this day. Neither have been unattainable or complicated moves yet they'd probably be crucial in elevating the level of the starting 11 and squad as a whole. Seri seems hard now given Nice's reluctance to sell but IMO it's still possible, only a question of whether the board pulls their heads out of their asses with Paulinho and finally focus on good, realistic targets. There's not much encouragement as far as our midfield rumors go but one can only hope.
