Nelson Semedo

Of course he wants to leave, who wouldn't. He hasn't developed like he should and he's not an indispensable player, however, when you see Bob shitting the bed over and over again but will still continue the match regardless, then it's no fucking wonder Semedo wants to leave. When he shits the bed you can always bank on him getting subbed out at half time. The double standards from the useless manager must have pissed him off to no end during his time here. It's a miracle someone hasn't decked him yet.

Yet people keep harping about his lack of assists as if Eric Abidal a LB before Alba came along, was an assist machine. Pep also went with one offensive minded full back in Dani Alves but with other 3 defensive.

Abidal had 10 assists for Barca in 192 matches.
That is on average, one assist each 19 matches.

According to Whoscored, Semedo has 0 assists in 67 matches for Barca.
That is on average, one assist in: never

Even Oleguer Presas as a Rb managed to have 2 assists.
I didn't check all numbers, but there is a high chance that Semedo is the worst Barca's fullback in terms of assists in a semi-modern history.

You can't blame only EV for that...

I recall he assisted Messi this season, and scored

Whoscored is shit.

According to transfermarkt Semedo has 1 goal and 5 assists in 82 appearances. Earned penalties should be counted as an assist. Not that these are worldbeater-stats but like shadows said, Pep also had one defensive-minded fullback. At the end of the day I don't expect Semedo to have many assists in a team without right wing and a team that can't score from headers.

Selling Semedo and buying a crack RB like Kimmich is the best move for the club to make.
Selling Bob makes no sense as he has absolutely no market value and no one wants him.

So the proceeds from Semedo could fund the Kimmich deal.
Wague would be his backup. Bob moves to midfield. Best deal IMO.

Why would Kimmich leave Bayern for Barca? And to play under below average manager?

I remember 2 or 3 of those penalties, and I remember some of his assists.

I think that Cule4life investigated it a few weeks ago.
Whoscored counts only true assists.
While Transfermarkt counts penalties and actions before own goals as assists.

Sport claims that Wague, Emerson, and Kimmich are the options to replace Semedo if he goes. Can't see Kimmich leaving Bayern so that's out of the question.

Emerson? no way he should be considered right now IMO. Just got to Europe and while he has shown some positive stuff for Betis but he also has shown that he has a long way to go to be considered an option here, he would probably end up like Miranda was at LB if he came here right now.

MD claims the club also seems to like Palencia and his progress but he will likely be sold this summer.

Oh now it's Messi's fault  Roberto played with Messi and still capable to move forward

2 completely different player types. Maybe we will see that next season....
Semedo should leave cause he will definatlely be more sucessful in another system. For me i still felt more comfortable when he was defending.
Btw even Roberto plays a LOT of backpasses. I mean only a prime Alves was able to play worldclass on our empty right side....

Cadena Ser says that Wague would be his replacement if Semedo leaves.

They also state the club aren't thinking of selling him at the moment though.
