New 2014-2015 kits

Well, tbh it depends from shirt to shirt about the size, even if it's Nike and even the same team/season.
Our replica home shirts are usually baggy, sometimes our away's have a much better fit I sense.
I would get the authentic XL then and replica's in L.
Also, material seems to differ a lot, which bugs me when thinking these new shirts are made from recycled bottles.
Dri-Fit is more of a standard than the same on every shirt. I heard that in 2011-12 players were initially unhappy with the material of the shirts because they were made of recycled bottles and they were frying themselves in them so they changed them or something.
The quality differs from shirt to shirt, for example, very comfortable in Brazil's WC 2006 shirt or Barca 2010'11 away ( pink/orange one ) while others like the 2008-09 away are much less softer and weight even twice as much IMO.

I understand what you mean by using different materials under the label of "Dri-Fit", I noticed too the difference in thickness and softness of the various materials branded as "Dri-Fit" throughout the years. Personally I prefer the Adidas Climacool fabric, softer and not sticking on your body that much.

As to the change made to the 11/12 jersey, it had nothing to do with the materials being made out of recycled bottles. Nike has been using recycled bottles for several years. Initially the player-issued 11/12 jerseys used the same close-knit, small-holed fabric, the same as what they used for the front panel of the jersey for the back panel of the jersey, so the players complained about it not ventilating sweat enough. Therefore they switched it to the mesh-ier fabric featuring bigger holes for the back panel after the complaints. That's it.

I'd really like to get the authentic version as well. Even the packaging looks awesome. It will be crazy expensive though. At least when you keep in mind it's made off old bottles.
I also can't complain about the fitting of the 2011/12 and 2012/13 replica jerseys, altough the authentic ones look way more athletic.
Does anyone know if the authentic version comes with the official LFP patch size or is it still the small woven one?

Apparently the 14/15 authentic jersey doesn't come with the LFP patch at all, which is good since you can apply the official, vinyl LFP patch yourself.

In the past I have seen both: My 2010/11 authentic jersey came with the sewn-on, small size replica LFP patch which I painstakingly took almost an hour to get off, whereas my 12/13 authentic jersey came with the official LFP patch.

Well, as I've said, I haven't bought football shirts lately though I don't think the replicas changed much.

For Adidas, I always had the impression Nike's are better work then them. Not to mention that I have a WC 06 Spain & Argentina. Both same size but while the Argentina shirt is like 1/3 to my knees and extremely baggy the Spain shirt is at the waist and less wide and when I put the Argentina one on it's an instant cook like it stayed in the sun at 14:00 or in the oven + the AfA badge is killing my left nipple, though now I see they fixed that and stopped putting that old badge.

Oh and for WC'14, with the exception of Spain which has an interesting color but I would buy only to say I have a recent one. I simply hate the rest and the way they're designed on the back with that line and the extra designs like fading stripes and other inserts, meh!
I'm happy if Barca keeps Nike for a long time, not just because of the playing kits but also because of various other things such as they're wider availability or clothes like cotton casual shirts and any other fanwear.
I think Arsenal will suffer because of Puma, not just that the home shirt I saw is meh.

Also, I bought a tennis Nike shirt from 2013 that Nadal used in Spring then and I can say it has a much better feel than football shirts, it's without the sphere's, also dri-fit and a bit stretchy but very light and nice feel. You can try some of them to see how they feel if you're interested in any other stuff than football.
Again Nike wins here for the footwear too, I tried Adidas Barricade ( the top line they have for Adidas Tennis ) versus Nike Courtballistec 3.3/4.3. I can say the Adidas were not just too wide and had immediately given an impression of not enough grip on the court, but hell, they felt like they were made of rock, they would kill my feet after 2-3 hours of playing while the Nike's 3.3 were also kinda hard but much better feel and protection against a bad slide while if I would consider them too stiff, I could've went for the Vapor 9's which were just as good but extra softer.

Just bought a Spain WC 2014 shirt from Adidas, they had a 25% sales on all products in store and I wanted it anyway as stated earlier that I actually like it.

I can say I'm satisfied by it's quali this time and it really feels better.

The most surprising thing is that... it's an M, yeah, my first ever M football shirt and in general. They didn't have L, XL was clearly too baggy so I just tried the M and it went perfect!
The material is clearly light and pleasant too, in comparison to my old Adidas shirts ( also Spain 06, 08 ) and makes the M so better.
Also, the weather these days is so bad ( rain, even though finally warm ) that that anthem jacket Adidas made for WC 2014 would be fit crazy good ( rain and 25-28 Celcius )! They only had the Deutschland one so no go... :(, but at least I saw it and it actually makes a great deal for warm rainy days in which I can't just lay at home.

Next door, the Nike store was selling Brazil, France, Portugal and Netherlands for almost twice the price. Got this for 209 RON, the ones in Nike were 385! 1 EU = 4.40 RON.

I assume you got the replica (Climacool) version? I have an Adizero Germany 14/15 jersey, it is so much lighter than the previous Formotion version.

The 2012 EC Spain kit is probably my favourite kit of all time, just gorgeous.

Indeed, I haven't seen an authentic/player issue shirt in any store here, maybe there were exceptions but I so doubt it cause they only sell replicas in Nike and Adidas. Plus, for ~45 euro's I doubt that they would give an Adizero one. :p
Usually I buy'em online but after all my calculations, it would've been cheaper this time from the store even without the sale plus I would've never put money down for this size ever.
I was comparing to other Adidas shirts, usually older, this one is much better, can say that it's clearly no cook and nice fit.
Now my fear when buying an authentic is the size of it... Clearly, you said I should go one size larger, but until I see it on I can never be sure if M, L or XL would be better for player issued ones... as today I had a surprise with the replica versions size.

WC 06, Euro 08, WC 14.
I would still get the WC'10 and Euro '12, agree they are both great, didn't feel like purchasing it, I actually don't like the 06 and 08 at all compared to it but back then I just got them for collection and support while going out to see the games.
Just look at how wide the 06 and 08's are, despite the 06 being just as long and it's XL.

Yeah, over the years the sizes for the Adidas replica jerseys become slimmer and fitter. Nike replica jerseys though remain as baggy as I can remember.

No news on the GK kits? Almost everyone has presented every kit already, at least from the top clubs

Might be a bit funny, but according to the new PES kits it could look like this. At least the same design has been worn by a couple of goalkeepers in international games lately.

I never buy GK shirts, actually, never even tend to remember how they look even mid season, they could be better with a short sleeve too.
