I seriously don't understand what people here mean when they say he's not consistent. The only thing I can think of is his finishing...

A few pages back, quite a few posters actually noted that once he resumes his goal scoring ways, he'll be back in top mode and that finding the net was the only thing missing (past month).

playing captain obvious, we can also observe that the most consistent part of his game are those where luck plays the least dominant part: ie, his alpha competitive effort, his speed and stamina, and to some degree his dribbling, tackles, duels, fouls won, interceptions, chances created etc...

when it comes to goals, the luck factor is much higher due to the smaller sample size [total shots attempted]
And that's where, like you stated, his results have been the least consistent. The difference between a goal and a failed attempt often being a matter of inches.
Don't have time to look it up now as I gotta pack but if you check his 2015/2016 shots to goal ratio, it's similar to Leo's. Suarez had the best one that season.

I don't know if it has been posted here, but there was a video circulating on twitter of Neymar pre-match singing silly songs, and having fun, the way we know him.

I think it should be a lesson in how Neymar works - doing 'unserious' stuff outside the pitch doesn't mean he doesn't care on-pitch. In fact he took the lead and believed when nearly everyone else had lost hope.

Well said. . . People seem to have this belief they understand everyone's psychology.
Life is all about perception and the funny thing is we are all distinct in that area.

Not a fan of such pettiness.

Should concentrate on next match instead of thinking how to brag or wind up.

He wouldn't be doing all this if PSG did not do all that same crap after 4-0.

He is just giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Not only does he not join PSG after being chased and offered a shitload all summer every season, he destroys them every time they meet us putting any hopes of a europian trophy to bed.

Neymar would be haunting nasser in his dreams.

He's right with that piece of shit Di Maria. Rubbing it in twice for Rabiot and Kurzawa was once too many though.

I think this instagram culture is already pretty laughable. Puyol would probably take all their cellphones during training sessions and take a heavy piss on them.
At least shit-talk each other on the pitch, don't be a fucking online smug, everyone acts like a little bitch nowadays.

People who criticize the lifestyle don't know how these things work .. Those amazingly talented players are like artists, they need a creative freedom to operate, to try containing Neymar is simply putting barriers to his creative space, Luis Fernandez had problems because he never knew how to deal with the artist that was Ronaldinho, at one point he even made him as a substitue, when ronaldinho came here he was given total creative freedom and consequently he thrived .

It's like coming to messi and ordering him to start talking more which is not in his nature, Messi thrives in quietness.
