Neymar Jr. - v5

Man Utd dont have as many good young players as PSG and by rumours cant afford the move.

If he goes they will be CL challengers very soon in my opinion.

Hmmm, PSG look far, far away from competing. They have worse manager and their defense looked a joke against us. Midfield was dominated in 2nd game easily and struggled to win against young team like Monaco. Neymar could have skipped renewing and would have had much smaller buyout if it was about that.
Sorry, but this makes zero sense from football stand point for me, that seem like an over analysis

Their defence mainly looked so bad v Barca due to Neymar in that game.

Take him out and add him to PSG and that result doesnt even come close.

Can see how it goes but I think they have probably best group of 25 and under players of any club if he goes there.

Makes sense for me that he would contemplate going for challenge of leading that team.

Looks like a done deal.

A shame really, PSG is simply not Barcelona. Poor career decision IMHO, but at least we will have a buckload of money to rebuild our poor midfield.

I think there is not a better LW currently, but I am ok with the second/third best if we solve the ridiculous midfield situation.

There is along with money if he wants to be main man in the team. With him there and other good young players the will be CL contenders in near future.

Neymar already won the UCL and unless he is at a big club like Real or Barca his chances of winning BDR will be slim. Other teams won UCL and treble but the BDR winner always been from clubs like Barcelona or Madrid. They went to PSG for money.

All these reports of a done deal...yet not a single one elaborates on how this deal would be financially feasible without shattering regulatory laws.

PSG will be paying the money through a shell company QSI owns.

PSG not directly signing him, as they claim they found a loophole in FFP.

Winner has not always been from Barca or Madrid.

It has been most often Messi or Ronaldo as they have been so dominant and main player in team. Hard to win a balon dor in same side as Messi and even then not all about that it is about wanting to see what can achieve leading own team that will be the pull. In my opinion.

Done deal?

I'd have to agree.

Even this shit board who have performed somersaults for Neymar and his family seem fed up.

So if they are not directly signing him, then legally he would be binded to this shell company which implies third-party ownership.

Whatever the case, financials look so shady.

It sounds very shady and I'd expect UEFA to do something about. They have to, otherwise they might just get rid of FFP. This will make City and others replicate it in the future, but money talks.

Would be great if PSG are banned from European Competitions, but I guess all that Qatari money UEFA and FIFA are getting is too much.

It is a done deal when PSG present him, not when he is training with Barca team. There have been many done deals that weren't done. The whole explanation of FFP loophole is so weak to say at least

Qatar has been under fire in both football -due to the hosting of the WC over USA- and political. If UEFA wanted that money they would have get rid of FFP.
This all seem like a bs to me, nothing but weak explanations to fit the narrative of a weak story, or a club is taking a huge risk that could backfire

Seems he is gone, this could be good for or but it has the potential of being a disaster aswell. Personally I think our board will disappoint yet again.

I said mostly from big clubs, also of recent winners of BDR has been from Barcelona and Madrid.

I don't think PSG would be challenging for UCL anytime soon or at least for the next few years. Madrid, Bayern, Barca, and even Chelsea and City can knock PSG.

So Neymar at 25 years old will need at least 2 years (best case scenario) to win anything major like UCL with PSG for him to win the BDR. (Again best case scenario).

If he waits in Barcelona he could do the same. Messi is 30 years old and in few years he will be 32-33 years old so Neymar can effectively be the man and be in charge of the team in 2 years. His chances of winning the BDR would be much higher at a club like Barcelona. Doesn't make sense he is moving to club like PSG for a footballing reasons.
