If I'm not wrong Neymar has a contract to promote Barca in China, which he is going to do right after US tour. I guess that is the reason they keep it quiet. The tax situation explains why Ney Sr. still lurking around with Barca executives(most likely PSG told him the tax payment will reduce Ney's cut unless Ney makes a deal with Barca). Our stupid board might negotiate on release clause because they want that Neymar promotions in Asian countries. I anticipate there will huge backlash from fans if they do(I'm not even sure if Barto can survive this Neymar saga).

Yeah 30m is nothing knowing that the initial transfer budget was 60m. We are not talking about a 50 m transfer. It's a huge amount that can be spend on several players. Barcelona is not a crap team like psg. It's not because psg act like assholes that Barcelona should do the same. Almost no RB would have come cheap because they are not that much available.

It is taking the piss though to let them benefit by 70m and Barca by 30m in any such arrangement.
Also doesnt look good for Barca and buy outs even easier to achieve if start doing that.
Lastly call their bluff and see if they really can pay 300m or come back to negotiate a higher split of the tax money.
I doubt if you can force that obligation if he is no longer our player. PSG can announce the signing any moment and that will ultimately kill Neymar's promotion in China. How the PSG player can promote Barca in China?

Even I don't like how he's handling this and I vouched Neymar to Barca since 2012! It's somber to think of this new turn. I think it's a big fucking mistake on Neymar's part, but if he wants to burn bridges with the club and his fans for oney, then I understand why. But it's really shitty to see in real time how he's throwing away his career. This is it. There is no going back to one of the top teams in the world whose style of play literally suited him. If he wants lower play and shittier teammates then he should seek it.
Just don't come crying of regret in some interview in 3 years or so

If rumours are to be believed, Liverpool just rejected around 80 million euro offer for Coutinho. 80+30+12>60. Last year, same story. If a player comes along that the 3 stooges(Barto and co.) think they'll improve us, we'll stump the cash. Whether that player is good or not that is another story. Goddamn even our fans have started believing we are bums, just like pompous PL fans that think every other club in their league can outspend us and ManUtd can hijack every deal under the sun.

I doubt this is true. He was already in Japan with Messi, Pique and Arda a few days before they joined trainings, now they are in US and then he'd again have to fly to China a few days before both Supercup games? That's too much travelling before the season even starts for one of the teams key players and I doubt the club has really intended that for him when they made those plans (probably way before this whole PSG story and when they were still convinced he'll stay).
But if what you're saying it's true then I don't think Barça would keep it quiet just because of that. If he has decided to leave then he can pay his buyout clause at any time next week when he'll be back in Spain and at the moment he does that he's not our player anymore and doesn't have contractual obligations to represent us even if that is still planned for now.

Neymar came to Barca with the idea that with him and Messi at club level the team would be almost unstoppable, and Suarez too. But what he as seen instead is inept management that as allowed other teams to bypass us, mainly due to better Management

So at this point he is probably saying if I'm not going to completely dominate and instead just be a regular top team, then i might as well try it on my own, instead of being the 1a to Messi until I'm 28/29.
I can kinda see his logic too, Madrid wins 3 in 4 years because perez as learnt from his mistakes over the years.
Juve and Bayern can't stand up to us face to face, city with pep isn't far off.
So he is thinking i need my own team to compete in this arms race since Barca management is failing me, i think he will stay this summer but if we don't win Liga and make it to the CL final, I'd bet my house he will leave next year.
