Alright, here are their own sources confirming that Neymar is going to travel to Qatar and meet with the Emir/Price/whatever they have over there. If he wasn't going there to sign a sponsorship deal to be the ambassador there is no reason at all for him to travel to Doha, he could just sign the contract in Paris. This seems like confirmation to me.

He's traveling to Doha for his physical. The tweet directly below the one you posted:

Improvin' Perfection!!
Sorry grapes from Barto. He's trying to save face. There are other factors at play but our 'friend' Tebas is already promising to take it up with Uefa.

Player is supposed to buy himself out, no? So PSG has circumvented UEFA rules and probably some accounting rules to keep Neymar's buyout and salary off-the-books. A company owned by the same man who owns the club is paying him an outrageous 300m sponsorship.

Not only does this violate FFP, but more importantly it is constructively third-party ownership. You could say that WC2022 entity essentially holds Neymar's contract as a shell company by buying him out and paying additional money. If Neymar wants to leave, he should find a bank and get a loan to release himself, like the rules say. Any bank would give it to him for a fee.

I think it's the Bartass trying to save his face too..... We definitely cannot say that WC2022 hold his contract! It's just like a brand signing a star to be their brand ambassador!! I mean I know it is so the case indeed but there's no way in hell is it against the rules!

I hope Bartasss burns in hell for ruining the club for the past 4 years!

It says right there that he's about to sign a 300M sponsorship contract.

Why should we care how they get the money ... it's more than obvious that these rules can be overtaken by throwing more money here and there ...

When he wants to leave, let him leave. we do not need players like these, moaning, being drama queen, wanting more and more every summer. And once again, the board gave him too much time with this nonsense, some should have given him ultimatum to decide/say what he wants, not to go to the press and hail him for two/three weeks (can't even count how much this continued).

I surely did not expect him to leave soon, but this just shows that even when once some player open his mouth and trying to get more from the club, you cannot trust them anymore

P.S. My guess is that by Monday this thread will have twice as many pages as the Messi one (just 30 to go) ...

I copied the wrong tweet, as you see they're referencing MD. The tweet I meant to post:

Alright, lets just assume for a second what you're saying is true and Neymar is travelling to Doha for pure commerical purposes; it would be a huge slap in the face to PSG fans in France, you know, the ones that actually fill up the stadium and buy merchandise to have a marquee signing travel to a foreign land to do his medical and be signed in front of money hungry Qataris rather than in front passionate home fans. This is a clear cut case of PSG manipulating the FFP rules and there is no refuting it.
