Neymar Jr. - v5

I was not the one who said Barcelona made Alves. I was replying with the same kind of logic, but my argument is better, since Player A Won everywhere he went and Player B only won for Barcelona.

Fair enough. Even then, I think you would have to agree that Alves's time at Barcelona and what he won with the squad during those seasons is what elevated him to his status as a "legend." No?

He was barely 20 years old. And I'm not sure how you can peg a 3-0 loss on Messi.

Oh, he didn't do much better in the following finals, did he?

Btw, this is not my argument. I was just putting some arrogant fan in his place. That's why Neymar should leave as well, fickle fans of European PowerHouses have no loyalty and will hate a legend like Alves for nothing when Alves was the one being dumped. Most of you are in for the glory, few would stay he if Barça went 5 years without a title.

Speak for yourself.

Ok, seems fair. So Barcelona made Messi too, no? It's arrogant to say this both ways. Alves and Messi would be legends elsewhere too. Barcelona helped Alves/messi as much as Alves/Messi Helped Barcelona.

What did he say to offend Barcelona or its Fans? Did he say Neymar should definitively go to PSG because Barcelona is a sinking ship? Did he say something like that? Or did he try to encourage a friend to play alongside him? It's not like Neymar is undecided if he wants to go to Real or not. Alves got a stake in this: his own self, his pocket, his happiness. He have every right in the world to seduce Neymar and even Messi, if he wants to.

Yes. It's a symbiotic relationship between the player and the club. As for legends "elsewhere," it doesn't matter, because they became legends at Barca.

As for Dani's statement on Neymar, I think he should have just made no comment. I'm sure you can understand that him calling a move to PSG "more courageous" and that the world belongs to the aforementioned courageous, can be off putting to Barca fans who would have expected their former player to have their side in this.

he does, but he doesn't have to make public statements. you're painting alves and the larger brazilian player population as victims. stop it. they're multi-millionaires with over the top, silly instagram accounts. they don't need your or my sympathy.

Why are you even on this forum? it's not fickle fans, its pissed off fans whos club has just been bent over by the neymars and one of our legends just adding fuel to the fire.

Alves was great for us but hes a typical brazilian mercenary. if you look back he wanted a longer deal and more money. the board gave him a 1 year deal + 1 year if he wanted and he left.
